This Sunday will see two very different celebrations taking place in the United States. A UFC fight will take place at the White House in Washington D.C., to celebrate the anniversary of the U.S. Army's founding and President Donald Trump's birthday, while in New York City, the Committee for the First Amendment is hosting the Rise Up: Sing Out event, featuring Bette Midler, Julia Roberts, Patti Smith and Rufus Wainwright. This will serve as the "anchor" for  No Kings events, which this time round are to celebrate community instead of protesting the president, with the goal of building "hyper-local infrastructure" to stand up to Trump. Further update: David Eby, Premier of British Columbia, says Omar Artan would be welcome to referee World Cup matches in Vancouver as Somalis urge Ottawa to issue a visa.
