I’ve lived 16 years in 4 off-grid pv powered homes that I’ve built since 1990, (20 year gap between the 1st & 2nd home.) I’ve only had to use a backup generator a handful of times during hurricanes. #Battery tech is significantly better than when I started. What I’ve learned to do is change my energy use to reduce base load. It’s not that hard. Home design is part of the solution. We need to future proof our built #environment & lifestyle. Reduce the base load. Plan ahead. #Solar #Energy
