Also, I am envisioning replacing the perceptron with another genetic algorithm and build everything from the same crooked linear algebra wood

I have decided to suffer, and hence made a genetic algorithm that through linear algebra generates colours palettes to be automatically scored by a small perceptron that will be live trained by a human who will pick a score for a sample of palettes, all to try and generate automatically colour palettes that an artist could find appealing for the sole goal to figure out if colour pleasantness is evaluable and/or reproducible by linear algebra

It is 1:30 AM and I have a full backend, 4 technical drawings, a global illumination shader, a small video game, and a drawing software addon to produce within a limited time frame that is nearing to a close

I don't even have a mind to lose anymore

The furthest we have thrown anything is still close enough that it can send us a 15W signal that we can receive, while beyond, there are things so mind bogglingly far that they have all already disappeared, replaced by other things, shapes in the sky we will never grasp or see any better, so far away the space time continuum stretching makes them forever out of reach

Every time I go outside early enough in the morning to see the moon, I see how massive it appears compared to the Hubble Ultra Deep Field and I have that personal failure to comprehend the truly massive scale of the universe

The moon itself is absolutely immense, at a distance so big if you were to be able to walk there, it would take you 9 years without stopping to reach it, and around 30 years with a normal human's pace

Actually, the reason why it is not the norm is that authentication is the single most expensive part of the game computationally, taking 500ms of CPU time per operation, and that is by design

It is absolutely mind boggling what modern computers can do when we don't waste their performance, and yet we manage to precisely do that.

I have tested that I can have 100k players on a single server playing my game, provided that the server is a single core server with a 2.65GHz CPU from 10 years ago. Should that not be the norm? I don't understand how we fucked that up
