A boost would mean a lot and help more people discover the game. Thanks for your support! ❤️
#️⃣ Be Generous With Boosts
"Are we happy being an ever-shrinking niche social network?" asked @matt_birchler. No - so I'm going to be more generous with boosts. Without an algorithm, that's how people get found 🫶 #Mastodon

Welcome to our ool — notice there is no “p” in it. Let’s keep it that way.

Taking notes on YouTube has always annoyed me. So, here is my take on it.
The Chrome extension launches soon. Originally for Mimir, it works independently and lets you customize how you copy. All processing is local in your browser. I’ll keep the Mimir Highlighter extension updated following YouTube’s changes.

Ps. Auto-pause on note taking can be turned off. All Youtube shortcuts keep working.
@gedeonm I thought Vision Quest was an ‘80s moving starring Matthew Modine and Linda Fiorentino.(still crushing on her all these years later.)
Turns out Marvel can use any name they want to.
. @malwaretech on this, spot on. https://lnkd.in/p/eyScra97
His last point is relevant - you may notice there’s a serious and sustained narrative appearing across media in an attempt to ban open models in the US. Open models = the competition.
I’m no @gruber, but I did feel the need to say … well … something.
I hope you’ll feel moved to boost and share this on whatever platforms you use. Of course, some would say that since I’m sharing it here on Mastodon, no one will ever see it anyway. 😉

Mom: What's with these AIs escaping and hacking people?
Me: You park your car at the top of a hill. You leave a note on the dashboard that says "please be good" and then you pull the parking brake. The car careens down the hill, smashes everything up, and you put out a press release saying "My car ignored my instructions! It hallucinated! It went rogue!" Your insurance company not only believes you, but invests $100 million in your company.

I’m an expert.

This is awesome
With the weather cooling down, here is a delightful, whimsical indie Mac app: Sara Gordić built Window Sweaters, an open-source menu bar utility that dresses your active windows in colourful knitted borders.
A wonderful reminder of what playful indie Mac craftsmanship looks like!

My copy of Jeff Bridges’ book of photos he’s taken with his Widelux panoramic camera finally arrived. It’s fantastic and was well worth the wait. https://www.jeffbridges.com/store-tote/pictures-volume-1

Software can solve any problem except those caused by humans.
Coding agents reduce software development to a simple matter of:
* specifying requirements
* verifying correctness and quality
* maintaining and operating software you didn't write
As we all know, those have always been the easiest, most well-understood parts of the craft, so everything is fine!
