It's basically me and, like, two other people who've ever used the #perimenopause hashtag. 😂

Seems to me like it might make sense to start progesterone, take it for a few months, then add in estrogen. Would make it easier to figure out what's causing side effects if something causes side effects.

I'm definitely planning to ask my doctor for both OMP and estrogen gel, for a number of reasons:

1. Symptom relief (hot flashes suck, and I'm not enjoying the joint pain, poor sleep, extra anxiety, blah blah blah.)
2. Bone protection (I already have osteopenia)
3. Colon cancer prevention (HRT seems to reduce the risk of the disease my dad died of.)

I doubt this will reach many people, but I might as well try. If you're on #MHT #HRT for #perimenopause, what are you taking? And if you're taking both progesterone and estrogen, did you start them both at once, or staggered?

Mr. Blue said he'd make me dinner so I didn't starve, so before he came into the kitchen, I laid down on the floor with my tongue hanging out pretending to be dead. He didn't seem that alarmed when he saw me.

YOU FUCKERS TURNED OFF THE LIGHTS

I never noticed this before on this recipe. Fucking Washington Post. #DC

Don't get me wrong -- I still hate it.

My resistance band workout is WAAAAY less annoying if I turn the sound off and listen to my own music.

Got some MAN toenail clippers, not those wussy girly ones.

We're becoming those old people with all of the pill bottles.

I'm a white lady with a relatively slight frame and Crohn's disease, which basically means I'm fucked in the bone strength department.

That provides points in favor of starting #MHT #HRT. Dropping progesterone and estrogen hurts bones. ☠️ #perimenopause

My DEXA scan (bone density) was ... not great. Adding a calcium and Vitamin D supplement. Continuing yogurt and hot chocolate consumption. Maybe boosting resistance training. 😐 #perimenopause

The benefit of having a wedding in 1999 is you can just add a year to whatever year it is to learn how fucking long you've been married.

Today is our wedding anniversary. Mr. Blue and I have been married for (REDACTED) years.

I don't have the energy for such things. #perimenopause

My phone tried to turn a three-day weekend into a three-way weekend.

I blocked said person. Feel free to block me if I'm being annoying/creepy!

I feel like an ass blocking people who might not deserve a block, but ...
