(1) I'm testing with a sRGB profile (PCS is LAB) I downloaded from the color.org registry website. I'd expect that when I use that profile to convert a color from sRGB to LAB and then back (mAB then mBA), I'd get basically the same color. However when doing so, there's quite a difference between the original color and the converted one. For example, a pure black (0,0,0) gets a red tint. I don't know if that's due to the rendering intent or something, but is that normal or expected? I used an ICC profile viewer to compare values from the CLUT, and I get the same values.
(2) I was experimenting with the illuminant for changing the colors to a different tone. My current chain is: (a) sRGB to LAB (profile), (b) LAB to XYZ (using the different illuminant), (c) XYZ back to LAB (using the illuminant from the profile), (d) LAB to sRGB (profile). The results look "good", but not as good as I expected. Is that because of issue (1), or is that because my chain is wrong (assuming that my code works)? Also, I'm using the "target" illuminant in the LAB->XYZ conversion, while I could also do that in the XYZ->LAB conversion. Does that matter? For comparison, using the different illuminant in both conversions leads to the exact same result (basically, a no-op). Maybe even the whole process is wrong for that use case?

However, we really do want to port Haiku to the RK356x.
In fact, there is progress on porting Haiku to arm64 and it seems to be making good progress: https://discuss.haiku-os.org/t/arm64-port-for-haiku/18772/1
