7/4 is a really strange time signature.

Noticed the following in NVDA 2025.2 beta 1:
INFO - core.main (06:29:12.987) - MainThread (14032):
Using configobj version 5.1.0 with validate version 1.0.1
WARNING - bdDetect.__getattr__ (06:29:13.067) - MainThread (14032):
DeviceType.SERIAL is deprecated. Use ProtocolType.serial instead.

In other words, NVDA itself is still using deprecated methods in their code. This one is minor, but please guys set an example. CC @NVAccess

Hey, @NVAccess I think there's still a slight issue with the website. If you visit https://www.nvaccess.org/download you're still serving up version 24.2.2. I have to visit https://www.nvaccess.org/download/?nvdaVersion=2025.1.1 to get the latest.

#AudioMo day 6: I had my wisdom teeth pulled in August, 2007. Just before I departed home, I recorded a set of phrases I wanted to try and say after surgery. As soon as I got home, I recorded those phrases and combined the two sessions to create this little gem.

I told someone at another company the following this morning, and it's worth passing on to the world at large:

Mac VoiceOver is a crappy litmus test for advanced web accessibility. Use Windows browsers and adaptive tech to gain a better idea of whether your design techniques work for your users.

In this specific scenario, it was working fine-- except for VoiceOver, which is completely an Apple problem.

I have much love for the Mac, but web browsing with VoiceOver is still total shit in 2025.

This may be the first time I've ever had 4 external hard drives connected to any of my computers. One SSD, two portable drives, and a new desktop-sized drive. In all, 31TB of external storage.

Oh if only I could go back in time and tell my past self about this absurdity...

Long hsot, but here goes.

When reviewing a large diff in #GitHub (I’m talking about several dozen files with a few thousand changed lines) the UI shows only the first 4 files. To view more, you have to scroll the page. Fine for mouse users, but I can’t find a way to accomplish this from the keyboard. So now I can’t do part of my job, and of course this isn’t documented anywhere. Tips welcome.
