How many times does this have to happen before people start understanding that tech hates you and hates all of us? https://www.rawstory.com/no-kings-2678101228/ #NoKings #SocialMedia

*sigh* so I have a white straight male friend—more of a he likes me a billion times more than I like him—and he's fallen down that scary manOSphere or however the fuck it's spelled. Now he's fanticizing about taking a girl on a date so something heroically movie like can happen where he rejects her. I wonder if this is main character syndrome? The one time I accompanied him on a date, she asked him why he didn't like anime, for example, and his response was,

“it's like… Fuck! Like, Fuck Bro! Shit! It's like that dude. Fuck! It's got the fuck things about it, and that stupid shit is so fuck!”

and he constantly wonders why women like talking to me more.

I let them do the talking by asking questions such as, why do you like Pokémon? What makes you excited about it? And then I follow up with… GASP… a thought!

No wonder straights can't communicate to save their goddamn life.

If anyone tells you straights are okay, they are fibbing to you.

Tried to recover someone's DOCX files, even unzipped them and everything, but I guess they got moved/copied so many times over 3 decades they just... faded and became broken? They were moved/copied so much too much data was lost to where they cannot be recovered. Yet another reason why writers, especially, should move to writing in plain text and converting to anything later. #WritingCommunity #PlainText

It will never stop being ironic to me that the one place I am certain never to stumble on LLM slop is piracy websites. I use piracy websites like the best catalog ever and then I go check out media from my local library. I am sure people have tried to upload LLM slop to piracy websites, but the pirates aren't sharing it, buddy. #Piracy

Hey modern luddites, you know the luddites did not hate technology right? So why are you saying you hate all technology, even things such as RSS and email and communication based things. I am an actual luddite because I do not hate technology. #Luddite #Tech #Technology

Somehow, I knew this was coming. Maybe we really do need a support group for #NoAI people. Gods, I love my offline Drafty Writers Group sanctuary where we just read writing, eat cookies, and talk about anything other than LLM bullshit. It's every. Fucking. Where! *sigh* Linux kernel supremo Linus Torvalds has made clear that he opposes "stupid" AI disclosure rules as long as people understand the code they're submitting. https://www.theregister.com/ai-and-ml/2026/10/14/linux-kernel-devs-drop-obligatory-confession-of-ai-tool-usage/5303140 #AI #NoAI #Linux

Writing to political folks in local political seats this morning because I drafted my desires for a new accessibility act that would make sure these CMS's output accessible content and audit for accessible themes. So tired of these fucking accessibility overlays and this would kill them all. If anyone takes me seriously anyway. It's not the best policy brief I have ever done, but I am pissed off and am tired of complaining online. #Accessibility #A11y

New Sightless Scribbles post! Why Lightsabers Sound Like a blueprint

Mood: Ready to parry.
Snap-hiss.
It is arguably the most recognized sound effect in cinema history. Ben Burtt, the genius sound designer for Star Wars, created it by recording the idle motor of an old movie projector and mixing it with the electromagnetic hum of a television picture tube.
To most people, that sound signifies "Cool Sci-Fi Sword."

Hey other #NoAI fans, the replies in this thread make it very easy to block, so go and block away! But thank you for making this block honney pot!

I get it. You don’t like tech stealing your words. You don’t enjoy your bill rocketing up because of scrapers and these waste of space tech bastards, but do you really have to use cloudflare? I do not have such protections on my website, and mine gets scraped all the time yet my bill remains the same. Could it be your host? I had to uninstall UBlock origin on one of my portable browsers because the amount of Cloudflare automated robot checks in the #IndieWeb space is getting to the point where I can’t browse blogs anymore if I have an ad blocker enabled because of these automated checks.

As for why I don’t even try to block these cretins anymore, if they want to ingest my explicit sex filled socialist blog, be my guest. If your shitty large language model starts acting like a lusty gay anarchist or socialist, that’s on you not me. Besides, their bill is much higher than mine will be any day of the week. Their tech will fall before my blog!

This one was just recommended to me as a CDN. https://bunny.net/

Excuse me, but no, this is not the same as being banned from a place. Nope, no. No. Fucking. Way. No. . We blind people turn off our smartphones when we're watching a movie in a theater don't we? If you are using these glasses for education, in an educational setting, and they are denying you the tech, I can stand behind you on that but not this. No. Not every place that is backlashing against these glasses is banning you. This is not the same thing. I refuse to see it as such. > "That is essentially a little bit like an organisation saying: 'As a blind person you're not welcome coming into this place'," he said. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cmx2qlz7ney2o #Privacy #Glasses

I wish this was talked about more in articles such as this, but these publishers are also taking your work and working out quiet training deals behind your back. Some Indie publishers are doing this too. Remember, publishing is not your friend, and indie publishers are still a business. If you have an agent, have them help protect you. https://www.wired.com/story/book-publishers-are-quietly-using-more-ai-staff-are-revolting/ #Books #Bookstodon

I escaped containment and took a bubble bath. Does anyone want to invest in me? I’m really dangerous! Just ask my shareholders how dangerous I am. I got friends talking to the media about how they’re no longer baking cookies for me anymore because I am very dangerous! #AI

Older but This accurately explains why large language models hallucinate more when blind people take pictures, but more importantly, it’s good to examine how these LLMs are trained . Models All The Way Down https://knowingmachines.org/models-all-the-way #AI #AltText
