i don’t miss austin, but i do miss living in a place that has better venues with bands other than the usual locals. i don’t wanna diss duluth, but you can only see charlie parr or trampled by turtles so many times, seriously.

seeing major acts requires a three-hour drive to minneapolis and back. not that i went to very many shows in austin, but it was a hell of a lot more convenient when i did.

well, this was fun.

tuesday i had a way intense therapy session with my regular therapist.

then wednesday, i had a full-on emotional meltdown during my visit to the ketamine integration therapist. after which, i stopped by the pharmacy on the way home... as i headed back out to the parking lot, i completed failed to notice a buckled bit in the sidewalk and rolled my ankle. HARD.

i figured it was sprained, and decided that the pain was bad enough to warrant a visit to urgent care, where there was a 90-minute wait. so i waited. exam, x-ray, waiting, result: a fucking fracture. they referred me to orthopedics, who i'll see on monday.

here we go again -- up to now, my right foot was winning over the left, 3-1. but the left is making a comeback -- now it's 3-2. (right foot: 1 break, 1 sprain, 1 surgery. left: 1 break, 1 fracture.) YAY, ME!!

i am utterly exhausted.

so i cooked some delicious honey sriracha chicken in the instant pot this evening using boneless chicken breasts. fantastic recipe -- but the chicken, alas, was somewhat substandard and it's all just stringy.

how best to utilize this, besides just shredding the whole lot and pretending it's bbq (which is not how i generally roll)?
