Good morning!

No early-morning walk today. I have an upset stomach. Perhaps the leftover chicken was left over a bit too long? In any case, I'm starting to feel better now.

It's another humid morning with a forecast of 93F (34C) for the afternoon. I think I'll just stay in for another day. I hope we have an early fall. I want cool, crisp days and falling leaves. It probably won't happen until October. Sigh.

The big risk was writing them at all and then trying to sell them. I've not taken too many risks since then.

I have recurrent characters because I write series. Some are in every book. Sometimes a character will drop out of the series for several books and then return. Is that the same as "reusing" them?

I have no writing playlist. I write in silence so I can hear the words.

Good morning!

This morning's humidity was 92%, much lower than yesterday's 100% even though still high, and my pain was correspondingly less. I went out to walk as usual. The deer weren't out this morning, or at least not visible in the foggy mist.

Back again to another normal day of writing, reading, chores. Not much to toot about.

Lots of very small details, often for a single word in a description. One example would be what color of liturgical vestments were worn for a funeral in the Middle Ages.

No. I try to keep POV consistently 3rd close, although I do change whose POV I'm writing from.

How far would you have to walk to visit your nearest grocery store?

Good morning!

I got up way too early this morning -- 4:40 a.m. -- when the hip pain became unbearable. I'm convinced that the difference between achy but tolerable and unbearable is the humidity level, and yep, when I checked I saw that this morning we had 100% humidity.

I went out and walked anyway, since walking does help the pain. I woke up the deer sleeping by the pond again. I said good morning to a woman about my age who was walking and we chatted for a while, which was nice. I wonder if I'll see her out there again?

Now home to write and read and stay out of the heat for the day.

My MCs do, even when no one else does. This is why Cordwainer searches for the killer of a Jewish moneylender when no one else would care. It's why Rownt comes close to losing his life trying to save Joshua and Shonlin from the mob.

Well, I didn't get as much work done on my WIP as I hoped, mostly because I went out to do an errand this morning and then my chronic abdominal pain flared up badly. But I did make a bit of progress, so that's okay.

And I managed, for the first time ever, to clip some of Theo's claws -- all but two on the front feet before he scratched me with the intact claws and made it clear I'd lose a finger if I persisted. I'll try to get those last two cut tomorrow.
