The new issue of County Highway arrived. I started an article on the cover and it said, "continued on page 14" so I turned to page 14 and almost passed out. More evidence that my attention span is shit.

There's my dad in 1963(?) at the Parthenon. He's the only person there. I wouldn't even bother going today.

It's the weirdest thing. I needed to do something using macOS yesterday and the whole time I just wanted to get back to my Linux desktop. This isn't the first time I felt this way, but it happened sooner and the feeling was stronger this time.

I have to snap a photo of this building every time I walk by.

I finally got an instance of Forgejo running that works. Trouble is, it's on my NAS using Docker and accessible only through Tailscale. Sounds fine, but I just know it's going to become A Problem™ at some point. Still, it /feels/ better than using Github, so maybe that makes it worth the risk.

Sometimes, which-key can be less than helpful. (This is C-x 8, which is awesome but requires practice)

I started watching "Unfamiliar" on Netflix. I enable subtitles on nearly everything these days, so it took me about 20 minutes before I realized that the show was in German.

So I now have Dank Linux / DankMaterialShell and Niri ("A scrollable-tiling Wayland compositor.") on all the Linux computers. Niri's version of tiling window management is different, but I think I'll like it (once I get used to it). Since it's just the desktop shell and WM, it installs nicely right next to KDE, so I'm not risking much and didn't have to reinstall everything. https://github.com/niri-wm/niri

That's not vignetting added in post. That's a fogged up lens due to being taken from the air-conditioned house out into the 90+ degree humidity.

After deciding that I should probably just stick with macOS only and stop waffling, I now have Dank Linux running on the ThinkPad for some reason.
