Overigens zijn we als anarchisten ook veel te veel meegezogen in de militaire discussie:
"Wel of niet steunen van de gewapende strijd in Oekraïne".
Ook in Nederland lijkt het maar al te vaak of dat de kwestie is. Hoewel ik hier nog geen 'Anachisten voor de NAVO' ben tegengekomen, zoals in Duitsland.
Mij lijkt dat we zouden moeten oproepen tot desertie, deserteurs steunen, opvangen etc. Elke oorlog is een oorlog tegen ons, weiger het te voeren. Deze positie kom ik hier maar weinig tegen, op de Balkan en er omheen veel meer.

Al bijna drie jaar loopt er een rechtszaak tegen Amin Abou Rashed, een bekende stem binnen de Palestijnse solidariteitsbeweging in Nederland en Europa. De zaak is gebaseerd op beschuldigingen en documenten die grotendeels afkomstig zijn uit Israëlische bronnen en wordt volgens critici gezien als onderdeel van een bredere poging om kritische stemmen en solidariteit met Palestina het zwijgen op te leggen.
Op woensdag 27 mei om 13.00 uur doet de rechtbank in Rotterdam uitspraak in deze politieke en gevoelige zaak. We roepen iedereen op om aanwezig te zijn en steun te betuigen aan Amin Abu Rashid en de Palestijnse solidariteitsbeweging.
Dit gaat niet alleen over één persoon, maar over het recht om je uit te spreken tegen onrecht, bezetting en onderdrukking. De criminalisering van solidariteit mag nooit genormaliseerd worden.
Kom naar de rechtbank in Rotterdam en kom op voor de vrijheid van meningsuiting, gerechtigheid en solidariteit met het Palestijnse volk.

For nearly three years, legal proceedings have been ongoing against Amin Abou Rashed, a well-known voice within the Palestinian solidarity movement in the Netherlands and across Europe. The case is based on allegations and documents that are largely derived from Israeli sources and, according to critics, is seen as part of a broader attempt to silence critical voices and solidarity with Palestine.
On Wednesday, May 27 at 13:00, the court in Rotterdam will deliver its verdict in this political and sensitive case. We call on everyone to attend and show support for Amin Abu Rashid and the Palestinian solidarity movement.
This is not only about one individual, but about the right to speak out against injustice, occupation, and oppression. The criminalization of solidarity must never become normalised.
Come to the court in Rotterdam and stand for freedom of expression, justice, and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
De verwachting is dat in Ter Apel deze nacht al 30-40 mensen buiten de nacht moeten doorbrengen.
Er zijn wat Dixies op het grasveld neergezet en er wordt water en van die dunne warmte dekens uitgedeeld.
Er wordt gewerkt aan inzameling (tbv) tentjes en slaapzakken.

Last Saturday at Dunk! Festival I was completely blown away by Ciśnienie and especially Monia Muc.
Ciśnienie is 'pressure' in Polish and it is quite an apt name. Their latest album 'Angry Noises' is meant to play loud* and absolutely pummels. This is the band I could not resist merchwise and thus fucked up my #YLW My suggestion is to check out the 2nd track 'Gilotyna' first. It is the shortest and rough enough to give you an idea.

Wasn't aware that #MusicWomenWednesday is a thing until just now. But I was listening to Stabbitha and the Knifey Wifeys anyways, so here is a recommend.
They are a four piece Australian punk/hardcore band from Kaurna Land (Adelaide, South Australia).
Stabbitha releases explore the horrors of being a woman, the queer experience, and the physical manifestations of grief and loss. Life is hard, be frustrated and unhinged with us for an hour and come out the other side of our shows feeling just a bit better about it.
The band quickly found traction in supporting touring artists from Australia and across the globe, leaving punters speechless. They weren’t expecting this.

Joseph Conrad - The Heart of Darkness
A novella that took me just as long to read as a book three times as thick.
The story and style made it necessary for me to stop reading after a few pages. Like the old steamer struggling upstream, I was pushing myself on, wrestling Conrad’s prose.
The darkness oozes out of his words, tainting Kurtz then Marlow, then the writer and also the reader. Which is of course, exactly how it is. Racism and colonialism are still poisoning the wells that feed the fountains from which Europeans drink.
Although it is written in disgust, I think the book is still deeply colonial in a ‘manifest destiny’ kind of way. Never did I get the feeling that someone thought it could or even should be different.
Nihilist disgust in a painfully difficult style - Heart of Darkness is a black metal album in prose.
Deserves its ‘classic' status and I do recommend reading it. I hope to reread it one day.
