But you see it’s fine to use his service because he’s changed.

I spent all day with Claude doing tons of boiler plate code. This is stuff that's 95% brain dead simple parsing JSON with very well defined patterns. Basically all I was doing is telling it what I needed added, answering questions on the 5% stuff (nothing complex) and reviewing. Method by method, class by class.

I'm so damned mentally fried now. Feels just like if I had spent all day fighting with some multi-threading Apple framework bug and failing to fix it.

How does this work?

For $300 AppleTV better come with an actual TV.

Going to start thinking of myself as a Tabbot.

I already feel useless enough in this age of AI, these Claude Tab to complete options are the worst. Yes its exactly what I was going to type in but can we maybe not act like everything is so damned obvious.

I tried out the new Gears of War prequel this weekend and it was actually pretty good. Looks great with some actually good HDR support. Surprisingly it doesn’t seem to suffer from the UE 5 shader loading stutter that makes most of those games unplayable. Def worth a play on Game Pass.

Yuck!

Do not taunt Happy Fun Claude!

@paul Realtek 8125 on the 2.5GBit model

Interesting Apple changed the ethernet chip from Aquantia, which they’ve been using forever, to the new Realtek 8127 on the M5 Max studio. Its a cheaper chip, but also runs a lot less hot…

Anyone know what the new M6 Mini uses? I was assuming Intel but could be another Realtek.

Today is the last day my M5 Max is eligible for return. Ever since I got it I've been scanning for the base M5 Ultra at Apple/MicroCenter, but nothing's been available. Sucks because after seeing some compile tests it might actually be worth the upgrade this generation.

They just keep dropping the price.

I’ve switched completely to Topre but this Whitefox at $108 is tempting. Looks a smidge too tall but damn that white look is 🔥.

Well they do have a lot of practice spying on people.

After dozens of attempts, reboots, different machines, I finally got the new watch to pair with Xcode. The key seemed to be to connect the phone via USB and then turn off WiFi (seems to take a few times of toggling to work) and then doing the pairing procedure on the watch.

I went and then tried the same procedure on my super old watch and it showed up as already paired, so I don’t even know WTH is going on.

Apple lead origami designer really needs to take a break, a simple tab is probably fine…

I thought I had seen all the stupid Audiophile products out there but got to admit this category is a whole new one for me. 🤦

LOL at this being a thing and the way it has to be done.

I spent hours trying to get my ancient Apple Watch to pair with Xcode before giving up and hate ordering a new watch from Amazon.
