So many things we in the US tolerate from our government and society are infuriating. Homelessness. Medical debt. Student debt. Discrimination in all its forms. The constant wars of aggression, the meddling in the affairs of other countries.
The ideal of a "government of the people, by the people, and for the people" is enshrined in the American psyche even though this has yet to be the case. We will live in perpetual cognitive dissonance until we rise up and make it reality.
In an effort to avoid Amazon I’ve bought items on eBay and even directly from the manufacturer, only for the orders to end up being fulfilled by Amazon anyway. Now I understand why.
Why did Amazon donate $1 million to Donald Trump’s inauguration fund and $40 million to license a truly awful shlockumentary about Melania?
Because that’s how you conduct business on a gangster’s turf. Those bribes buy indifference to the company’s egregious business practices and pay dividends to the tune of dozens of billions of dollars.

What Hakeem Jeffries is saying is if you want to hold the most corrupt president in U.S. history accountable for his crimes, you’re going to have to get rid of him and all the other top Democrats first.
This is why Democrats have an 18% approval rating and can’t beat Donald Trump. They stand for NOTHING. #uspol

"How in the year 2026 can racism, sexism, even fascism be ascendant?"
Capitalism is in crisis. Climate pressures, mature markets, and rival economies are making growth harder to come by so capitalism is leaning harder into its levers of exploitation and division.
At the same time the emphasis is shifting from growth to consolidation. As the pie gets increasingly difficult to enlarge, the oligarchs want to secure as much of that pie for themselves as they can.
This country is cooked. Even the MAGAs are starting to put it together. That deep state pedo ring they've been trying to pin on Democrats? Trump was behind it all along. It's as much Trump's project as Epstein's.
Given that, why are we letting this monster continue as head of state? So he can twist laws and thwart their enforcement to protect himself?
We need to shut. It. Down. NOW.
The few Salesforcers I know are strung out on the Kool-Aid like it's Microsoft in the '90s. May this bring them back to reality.
You don't get to walk that one back, you fascist freak https://www.cnbc.com/2025/10/17/benioff-trump-national-guard-sf.html
Example:
Republican: "We want to get rid of vote-by-mail to crack down on voting fraud."
Democrat: "Actually, studies show that vote-by-mail is..."
BZZT.
Response:
"That's bullshit. You know conservative ideas lose when faced with a fair and free election with high voter turnout. You want to force in-person voting because it gives you all kinds of ways to cheat."
Put them on the defensive. Take control of the narrative.
Don't engage with Republican talking points. They're designed to send Democrats down a rabbit hole of refuting an argument that isn't the point in the first place and it works every fucking time.
So don't fall for it. Call it bullshit and attack what they're really trying to do.
Here’s another big reason why Washington State Republicons want to end vote by mail: electronic voting machines can be programmed to cheat.

Once again Washington State Republicons are trying to kill vote by mail in the name of “election integrity”. Despite their incessant whining about fraud and inconsistencies, all their research has shown is they don’t know how to read a map.
The real problem the GOP has with vote by mail is it increases turnout because when that happens, they lose. Simple as that. #uspol #WAPol
“4chan’s ‘user base just moved into a bigger ballpark and started immediately impacting American life and policy,’ Collins says. ‘Twitter became 4chan, then the 4chanified Twitter became the United States government. Its usefulness as an ammo dump in the culture war was diminished when they were saying things you would now hear every day on Twitter, then six months later out of the mouths of an administration official.’”

It should say “it’s them vs you” imo but whatever. The revolution will not be edited #cascadiastrong #protests #protest #handsoff
People out here quoting the "founding fathers" as if their words could be helpful.
These men were greedy, elitist psychopaths. They revolted so they could practice slavery on their terms and begin the wholesale slaughter of the native people. Their misty-eyed appeals to Liberty were very much intended only for men like themselves, independently wealthy and descended from the English.
If anything, our failure to confront the legacy of these ghouls is at the root of our current mess. #uspol
Every so often someone checks in with a sighting of my One Good Tweet from 2017. This time, a screenshot from ifunny.com was posted to r/clevercomebacks, where it was screenshat again by a Krassenstein and posted to Bluesky.
Like a 140 character Duncan Idaho, it achieves a tortured immortality through countless replications.
