nice trick! @mphk @bigzaphod
#xcode #macdev #iOSdev
It's a mystery why macOS doesn't allow the trick that iOS does where if you keep the version number the same and index the build number the review is automatic in minutes!
I don't want to complain too loudly or they'll take that away. 😱
I need to rave about @pastelapp
Even if you don't need color palettes - the Developer menu under the gear on the Color Picker (inspector side) provides wonderful color syntax ready to go in #xcode
Color(red: 0.000, green: 0.502, blue: 0.251, opacity: 1.000)
WAY faster than typing it.👍😊 See alt text for options.
Many thanks to @stroughtonsmith !

You might like this fascinating method where the developer of the Overcast podcast player worked out how to create individual sync’d transcripts for podcasts including those with dynamic ad insertion.
A little more than a minute starting at this link pretty much explains it. Some anti DAI ranting follows soon after that you might not want to hear 😏
Buying 48 Mac minis is also a very crazy story. The feature is only in beta so far.

I wonder what app this is? I don’t remember it helping 😏
I think this is a Classic II that needs capacitors - someday … #MARCHintosh
@krzyzanowskim Thought I'd give notepadexe app a try - given your great BlackFriday deal! I downloaded the free version and opened up everything in the library and only the Python one runs.
All the others say: Error building package: SDK not found for macOS. Please install Xcode with macOS support.
I have Xcode 16.4 and 26.1.1 and both say “Built In" under Settings/Components for macOS - so maybe I'm missing something obvious?

On the topic of icon shape that @siracusa @marcoarment & @caseyliss have been discussing on #atpfm:
I learned through creating some throwaway icons with @Sketch that if you just take a 1024x1024 square PNG file & toss it into Xcode, the squircle is automatically applied. I wonder if there's some issue with doing this, or you couldn't do it before, or people see the template and assume you need to apply that? Maybe @flarup knows?
Possibly, changing icon shape could be minimal work for Dev’s.
@siracusa did you know this setting adds the on / off symbols? Maybe that helps.
I like the button shapes one. Although some devs don’t seem to know that exists.
#appstoreconnect : Your account is locked
dev: what again?🤨
ASC: enter your phone # or email
dev: OK - I bet you are going to say it's timed out
ASC: Request timed out
dev: OK fine, I'll enter it again
ASC: enter your phone # or email
dev: 🤯
These are so great! Going to have to archive and all of these for future reference and checking against my work!

@siracusa Have you seen this error before?
the other app it happened to is Magnet (rather fitting because that's an windowing app you’d never use I presume)
