wild that i'm getting better pings to US West Coast than Singapore these days due to all the cable cuts

You can park here if you’re disabled, old, a parent, or expecting a wifi router.

Long form writing on Ko-fi isn't the best because it's terrible at handling footnotes and marginalia but when has that ever stopped me?

If you've enjoyed my previous zines and want more writing, I'll be trying to publish more free content on: https://crackedegg.press

My first post about why asking to put more women on stage and running more beginner days is missing the root cause of the issue.

I found my drawing tablet and I'm not afraid to use it

"The people on X are so nice and welcoming!"

The renewables "debate" is so tedious because they are literally cheaper now even before factoring in coal/oil/gas subsidies. And anyone debating that wind/solar/battery does more environmental impact (including noise, visually, ect) is just having a joke or mentally ill.

I think the only real debatable issue is jobs but if we wanted to just have jobs for the sake of jobs then I'm sure we could fund a ton of community good projects with the money funneled into the propaganda alone.

i think there's something up with the internet archive's handling of CBR files :(

all the ones I uploaded over a day ago are still waiting to go through the derive process, but the CBZ files were processed quickly

Edit: wow this went way beyond my circle, currently drowning in request. I try to have a look at each one of them.

My employer is currently looking for a technical writer with electronics experience to help proofread and update/partially rewrite blog articles.

It would be around ~4 articles per week for 2000 USD a month (negotiable).

This would be a freelance position.

Just throwing it out there, maybe some moot could benefit from the extra money.

maybe there’s a cheapo digital photo frame I can hack

I am feeling so technologically prepared to enter 2027.

Hey so in case any of my friends in Victoria missed it we have a state election coming up.

Now's as good a time as any to make sure you're all enrolled for that: https://enrolment.vec.vic.gov.au

Vote early, vote often, vote like we care about everyone and not just some in-group. #vicpol

I used to volunteer at (& very, very briefly was an executive director of) a nonprofit whose mission was to help girls & trans youth get into programming.

We were all-in on Apple products. We taught them Swift & used Xcode on MacBooks. The kids made iPhone games.

We gave demos on campus at Apple. Tim Cook shouted out the organization by name on stage.

Apple never gave us a single dollar. Not even an Apple Pencil or iPod touch.

But they spent $25,000,000 to kiss the ass of a wannabe dictator.

just sent an email that will test if fastmail is scanning my messages and reporting them to police

Working through some responses from applicants for an open position I have. One response for a question begins "Here is a response you can paste into the application:"

Not sure I'll read any further...

every cd i owned in high school and university has a specific person or memory attached to it. listening to music is time travel.
