Some more because it’s hard picking favourites:

Spending the long weekend in Tofino and Ucluelet. Here’s an assortment of photos:

This past weekend's activities included spotting a Black Bear foraging in the tidal pools.

It will likely be the same in other locations, but I think other countries might react quickly enough to put stricter noise emission regulations in place. Maybe. Hopefully.

I have a prediction that ICE vehicles, especially those targeted at men, will get louder in the US in the near future. Much louder. In fact, I think it's already happening.

Combine the fact EVs took over in speed and acceleration (the top ego marketing tokens) from ICEVs, and the changes in EPA emission rules by the trump govt, you're gonna see the last ego token left (exhaust noise) be pushed beyond anything we've heard before.

It's gonna get a lot worse before it gets better.

Is Cutting Crew's "I've Been In Love Before" *the* perfect love ballad?

In nakamichi's defense, their chewed tape detection system is incredible, it always stops playing immediately, before any damage is done to the tape

If owning a classic old car is anything like owning a classic old tape deck, I don't know I want one lol

At least when the tape deck goes wrong, at worst it will chew on some tapes

Also, I don't think the USA of all countries should be thinking of financially sanctioning countries because of their impact to air quality due to emissions.

But I thought the GOP loved having gobs of carbon monoxide in the atmosphere?

Yet again, to the American politicians who seem immune to understanding reality: The Canadian boycott of American products has nothing to do with tariffs, and all to do with the "51st state" bullshit.

Meanwhile Australia has so much solar energy that they're making electricity free during peak production hours: https://lenergy.com.au/free-daytime-electricity-is-coming-heres-how-it-actually-works/

I've created an album on my photo gallery website with the photos I took during my trip to Jasper/Wells Grey/Mount Robson, have a look! I might add a few more photos later once I do another do-over through the memory card, but for now, I like those a lot =)

Although this is a real radioactive source, it's still mild enough to not pose immediate danger from simple exposure. The biggest risk from this type of material is from removing it from its package and touching it bare-handed, then either ingesting it or breathing its fumes.

For all the nuclear safety officers: This is being kept as a known-quantity source for calibration purposes, and stored in a multi-layer packaging inside a clearly labeled lead-lined bag.

I bought some 2% thorium-oxide tungsten to test my geiger counter.

The good news is that it works.
The bad news is that it works.

God, fucking finally something fresh. Go delight your ears with some freaking weird Quebec math rock. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ssi-9wS1so&pp=0gcJCcMKAYcqIYzv

A week spent in Natal, Brazil. Pool, beach, sun, and mostly sunny weather. I think the Nikon P7700 did a good job capturing the mood, once again.
