It is, of course, not really a natural comet, as our people shall soon discover.
Still thinking about The Devils which we saw last night. I think it's going to stick with me for a while. That film is A LOT.
A lesson I wish I had learned at school:
You cannot make an unhappy person happy, and it isn't your job. Happiness, like an alien chestburster, comes from within.
I have enjoyed #CrispSandwichDay previously, but last year someone (ashamed to say, someone here on beige) was absolutely vile and insulting to me. And why? Because I'd made a fancy sandwich (a nacho sandwich) rather than just crisps and butter.
This upset me a lot so I wasn't going to take part this year. But sod it. Sod that absolute shit. People should be able to have as complex or as simple a crisp sandwich as they like.
(And I both hate and am baffled by the significant number of Brits who seem to believe that sandwiches have to be plain and disappointing at all times, that having a nice sandwich is some American crime or something. Fuckwits.)
So I'm going to make a nacho sandwich again later. It will be spectacular. And full of crisps.

Just made that classic chronic illness move of canceling plan at the last minute. I feel bad because I feel like I'm letting everyone down, but the thought of having to put on clothing and actually do language to communicate with people in person is exhausting me and I haven't even started doing any of it yet. So I think I'm going to fix the girls their dinner, take some meds and go to bed. Or I should say back to bed!

It couldn't have been a better day to be outdoors. The usual lake in north GA for my foliage hunting is closed for reconstruction (they had to do it in this photogenic season). I'm glad I checked their site before taking off.
Instead, we went to a nearby city park. Spotless sky, and a big autumn harvest festival was going on on the other side. But we chose the quiet side.
