The only difference between capitalism and fascism is the strength of the opposition.

I proudly follow 8,458 accounts, 0 of which have sexually violent language (like "fuck" and "fck") in their profile-, account-names or bio.

@Mastodon please just get rid of the open signups option.
You'd be doing the whole Fediverse a great favor.

If it talks like AI and draws like AI, it gets blocked like AI.

My sysadmin fixed a vulnerability.

Translation: My systemic psychotherapist treated my insecurities. It took 10 years. Many new insecurities emerged since then.

I just went to the other room to plug in my phone.
I forgot my phone.
Now I don't have the energy to go again.

If I want to surround myself with people who are masking, then people with ADHD and autism are my best best.

The planet is burning.
Only data centers still have rights.
My health is a thing of the past.
I can't stop doomscrolling unless I stop scrolling.
Every time I eat food my ME/CFS gets worse.
My heating is broken.
I am broke.
The people close to me don't have empathy.
The people I like are not close to me.
I can't sleep and if I do, its stressful.
If I stick to the rules of pacing then meditation is a too highly intense activity (>110bpm).
Every day I have to block 10 AI bots.
The one thing humans who use AI learn from it is to be intrusive.
One of my colleagues studying social pedagogy is a nazi as far as I can tell and has a better chance in the job market (mostly working with traumatized kids) than me.
My sisters dog is an ass.
My own dog is suffering from my lack of energy.
The most positive emotion in my repertoire is spite.
Everybody is coughing.
Nobody wears masks.
Not even at ME/CFS self-help groups.
Most of those are only online anyway, which means toxic slopware of course.
My memory sucks.
They say "live in the now", but have they seen the now?!

Well, tomorrow is another day.
Unfortunately.

The internet.
Bad vibecoding only.

I don't know what software that is, but when I find out I'll block all instances of that software.
It has built in AI moderation and users can mention you without mentioning you (I just got mention notification from a post that mentioned someone else, not me).

Also block fedisocial.com

Seven Devils Lake, on the border of the Hells Canyon Wilderness. Everything on the far side of the lake is designated wilderness.

If I had a time machine I'd go back a few decades and try to teach tech-bros the importance of opt-in consent.
Would solve a lot of problems we have today.

A little piece of accidental art.

After we’ve been aware of the fediverse and intending to make a mastodon account for many months, it took us hosting an event about “Reclaiming digital communication spaces” to actually make it happen.

Yesterday and today the 7th “Cross Movement Open Space” took place in #Vienna. The format invites representatives of local CSOs to meet and discuss a topic that’s currently relevant to their work. We’ve been organising it regularly for the past 3 years and this time around we were asking:

How can we strengthen our digital sovereignty?
Should we say goodbye to big tech?

Over two days around 40 participants were discussing, workshoping, discovering and skillsharing around these questions. On the afternoon of day 2 some of the participants offered a “practical tips and tricks for starting your mastodon account”-session. One of our team members was there and got us on here. We are excited to have arrived and very greatful to @cypherhippie and @totientfunction for hyping the #opensocialweb and sharing so much of their wisdom and experience with us :)
