Gotta admit, I love this, until I saw this, I always just shrugged about the voucher thing, I didn't realize what was wrong with it, and how its a handout to the rich

It’s time to de-privatize the US government. “The problem is not just that privatization is often inefficient because it adds a nontransparent layer of profiteering on top of government functions. The problem is that government loses basic capacity.” https://prospect.org/2026/10/13/time-to-de-privatize-federal-government

If you’re Black in the Americas and tried to trace down your ancestry, you eventually hit the slavery wall, where it becomes impossible to go back any further. This release is going to useful for a lot of people, and me directly.

Firefox 158 release notes for developers. JPEG XL is now enabled by default, with lossy and lossless compression, transparency, animation, and HDR. CSS typed arithmetic lets calc() divide values with different units, like 100vw / 1px, to get a unitless number. Notifications gain a navigate option with a URL to open on click, and WebTransport adds getStats(). Behind flags: the random() function, corner-shape, and import defer. #firefox #browser

I have a classic #iPod 3rd generation with a fried motherboard laying around and have been eyeballing motherboards from the US on Ebay … but THIS looks a lot more interesting.

Modern motherboards for the iPods that have been given less TLC than the “classics”. Updates via CrowdSupply, everything is open source. Very promising!

A small French association lost 600 GB of data when Microsoft ended its "free" nonprofit offer. That's exactly why associations should not rely on GAFAM.
I have supported #Framasoft for years. They can't offer as much storage, but with our help they can do more for everyone:

Freight fate players, please help. I've dev updated freight fate, where before when pressing alt 3, it used to tell you which toun you were in, the distance to and from it. But now when pressing alt 3, this doesn't happen, where the toun you are approaching is only said, the toun you are leaving is only said and etc. The distance is not being read out. Is this a bug and is it happening with only me or anyone elce from you guies as well?
