I need a USB to midi cable for a keyboard. The one we have doesn't work and everything online is saying to stay away from the kind we have because it is a shit product.
What do other folks use for this? Does anyone have any recommendations?

Please help finance GIMP, Inkscape and Krita instead of spending your money on trying to get Claude to make you a Photoshop clone.

To the person who tried to register back in August.
I missed your registration amongst my other emails. It looks like your registration attempt may have expired at this point.
If you happen to see this, please do try again.

just read this essay and yeah, this is definitely how I felt after my first bestie in uni (2021) ended up being a liberal Zionist 💀
you'd think I would've learnt my lesson then and there about being friends with white people but oh boy

@thathackergirl Truth. Im thinking a few $90 donations are in order, not just 1.
Attempted bribery, or what we used to call on #Baltimore, "walking around money" politicians would spread around on election day, is rampant at the moment.
The $90.00 (U.S.) of the current occupant grift could best be used by an enemy of the state (aka the #Resistance)--pick one:

Harvested the potatoes. I somehow ended up with fewer potatoes than I planted. Also fewer potatoes than there were stalks. I'm confused.
The only thing I can figure is maybe the porch doesn't get enough light for potatoes either and maybe they just looked good because they were burning off all those potatoe tuber energy stores.
today's mushyrooms
Omfg I actually feel like singing guys.
There was a video on Insta yesterday of a clean cut Nazi in a white button down and khaki pants proselytizing on a NYC train.
In any other timeline this MFer would have gotten his lights knocked out.
In *this* timeline?? Folks were silently listening to him like he was selling Amway and they were considering signing up. A young Black guy even said, Well I think everyone has to make up their own mind.
The ONLY person who was a speedbump to the Nazi's coercion was a woman yelling that he was a Nazi and he should wear his swastika armband if he's so proud of it and everyone could know who he is. The death glare he gave her...oof.
Y'all. Sitting silently and letting a literal Nazi recruit on a train is NOT how to meet this fucking moment. WTF.
OCTOBER NAILLLLSSSS
"Cars replaced horses"
This is what people say about LLMs, but it's based on a myth.
Los Angeles used to have an excellent tram system, with its suburbs laid out along the tram line. It was bought by General Motors and scrapped to get people into cars. The Key System, which went from San Francisco to Fresno, was scrapped by a tyre company. Cars did not replace horses in cities. They replaced effective mass transit by leveraging capital to destroy a common good. If cars were actually better, this destruction would have been expensive and unnecessary.
In more rural areas, bicycles were extremely common. They were most associated with liberating women, who were more able to commute and meet with neighbours. Bicycles became a symbol of feminism - for sexists. When male students at Cambridge wanted to protest women's admission, the built an effigy of a woman student and burned it. The effigy was on a bicycle. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-45096690
This notion of women cyclists overstepping their place in society and being a menace to the social order appears in the 'Wizard of Oz'. In Kansas, a woman neighbour demands that the family give up Toto because he's been causing extremely minor mischief. Auntie Em tells the neighbour that she wishes to say what what she thinks of her, but can't as she is "a Christian woman". This places her in binary opposition with the neighbour who leaves on a bicycle. Toto escapes and as Dorothy goes to Oz, the woman transforms into a witch and the bicycle into a broomstick.
Bicycles fell out of fashion in the US until mountain bikes, which are loaded with male gender baggage and unsuitable to riding while wearing a dress or for commuting.
Households switched to cars which are expensive, so they tended to only have one, which men took to work and women were placed back in the home.
Cars are a malign presence. Their use was not the advance of technology, but deliberate concerted efforts to harm the public sphere and especially to disempower women. They only became practical because of massive subsidies for highways and roads. They are an inherently wasteful technology, ill-suited to a majority of their current use cases.
