What I'm saying is, the makers should be ashamed to present this IP slop to us, after six years, as if it's the sequel to Gone With the Wind or the last chapter of War and Peace. Pitiful.

So there's a new #Marvel show that is the "concluding installment of the WandaVision" trilogy — that is, a follow-up to a short series that came out six or seven years ago and, I guess, another #tv show that I don't recall? You can't do this. The events in MCU might take place in a cosmic timeline but we human viewers are mere mortals. How can we care about this? To make matters worse, the content is so much garbled slop when set against the backdrop of births and deaths in our own timeline.

US gives Putin a much-needed windfall to assist him in his war against Ukraine and his wider war against NATO. My guess is that this will elicit another shrug from the American populace, too confused and politically shell-shocked to care that the US is now allying itself with its historic (and current) enemy.

Honestly, I can't get over the fact that he called it No Jacket Required and that he put his face on the cover.

But damn, what a robust sound. Not to be scoffed at.

Not my favorite. I always find the lemon juice overpowers the gin, even when you try to compensate.

Slightly embittered-looking Fitzgerald.

It makes perfect sense that Trump, a person who has no acquaintance with human creativity, would be a staunch advocate for AI.

Now Trump is going to increase tariffs on Canada and Europe because he's angry Canada is taking its business (and its security concerns) elsewhere, not just cheerfully submitting to being bullied?

You antagonize someone until they want nothing to do with you, and then, when you see it's pushing them away, you keep threatening them and insulting them to make them come back. Does he see this working?

It's elementary school-level psychology, but Trump doesn't understand it.

Did you know that "unlawful dismemberment of human remains" is a crime? I wonder if there's a "lawful" way.

I feel like Americans have stopped trying to rationalize or even critique Trump's tariffs. He's just like the weather now. It's a fact of life. Something beyond one's control that can't be altered.

It's pretty scary. Because it should be changeable. In a functioning democracy.

As dumb as he is, he’s outsmarted America.

Trump got away with not releasing the Epstein files. He was right: because of his war, Americans forgot about it.

Going forward, if AI is not able to point you to a specific high quality reference point whence it’s drawing its information, it’s absolutely going to be doing more harm than good. Anybody who has used it knows its information is wrong as often as it’s right.

We’re going to need rock solid filtering for AI-generated information and automatic, foregrounded citations.

Big Cycling doesn't want you to know that, instead of spending an extra $1500 to shave a kilogram off the weight of your bike, you can literally go on a diet for a few days and produce the same effect.

Still not a peep from MAGA about Donald Trump making literal BILLIONS of dollars while in office.

Fine with corruption. Fine with forever wars. Fine with paying more for everything. In fact, fine with everything they’re nominally opposed to. As long as it’s their guy.

If there's one thing I know about GOP "concerns," it's that they are as weightless and insignificant as farts.

It's typical of the 2026 New York Times that it is willing to give credence to these entirely make-believe misgivings and twinges of conscience.

Who's tolerating it? Probably the same people who are tolerating his social media platform because they can't bring themselves to log off. You have a choice, you know.

I humbly submit an album of electro-acoustic noise, 30 mins. A departure for me, but I think it's kind of cool. Though I don't have much of a community, I made cds and decided to ask a small fee for downloads this time. Not because I'm trying to make a profit. More because I take it seriously, put a lot of effort into it, and wanted it to be something more than a file on my box.

*Apologies. I will probably repost this.

Imagine how pleased with yourself you'd have to be to pose for a photo like this. It's funny to me. The arrogance shines through the veneer of offhandedness and affected indifference.

This Ukraine war is like Chernobyl for Russian soldiers. They volunteer their lives for a little bit of money for their families, and are immediately marked for death. I've heard estimates that life expectancy is between 10 days and 3 weeks, or as low as 30 minutes spent "on an assault." That means running toward the front.

I'm hopeful that this cannot last much longer. This is not "worth it" for many people. Hoping that Ukraine can hold out.
