RE: " Behavioral Science core education "
.
Every person who uses Mastodon avoids Dr. Bandy X Lee
She has an account right on Bluesky - everyone ignores her education for the general public there too.
She just released a new video on YouTube today that everyone ignores.
Dr. Lee assembled 27 leaders in year 2017 that every person goes out of their way to not quote or discuss.
Can we just talk about how flipping easy it is to upgrade @fedora to the next major version.
For reasons, I have had to keep my server on Fedora 38. This limitation was removed for me. And I could finally upgrade to Fedora 43! I just did it less than a day with:
```
sudo dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=<RELEASE NUMBER>
```
Starting with 39 and then all the way up to 43.
Nothing broke, everything worked.
JUST FUCKING WAUW!

Have a leading, or potential leading root infrastructure scientist, in your family, or close peers?
You may want to point them to The Global South, because the Northern Hemisphere is generally 'spent'.

@wesdym Unfortunately, there's merit to 'pulling back' from overt, extreme opposition, that authoritarian autocracies have perpetuated in the past, but now have not only the most advanced tools from coalescing Tech Bros and Fossil Fuels Oligarchy, but are successfully cornering root, vital infrastructure, and excel beyond past abusive power, into potentially the most powerful 'Nerd Reich' imaginable.
Let the media do the 'pulling back', while pushing forward in removing this abusive power.
@Remittancegirl Perpetuating extremes is the tell-tale-sign of authoritarian autocracies, backed by the likes of #TechBros and #FossilFuels #Oligarchy, controlling as much of vital root infrastructure as possible, to further subjugate the masses.

Now is the time time to resist and mobilise against Big Tech AI data centres.

Have a good weekend! Here's your Friday ice update - #Arctic sea ice extent is currently the 16th lowest on record (JAXA data)...
• about 420,000 km² above the 2010s mean
• about 860,000 km² below the 2000s mean
• about 1,960,000 km² below the 1990s mean
• about 2,610,000 km² below the 1980s mean

Hurricane Isaias has strengthened to 120 mph winds (Cat 3) and will make landfall late today at the edge of the Florida panhandle and slice through the middle of Alabama as it travels north and then northeast.
It will bring life-threatening storm surge, rainfall flooding and high winds to coastal areas and heavy rain into the southeast states over the weekend.
Stay safe.

Well, actual sea surface temperatures have now passed 30°C (86°F) in the key Niño 3.4 monitoring region for the first time in this data record... 😱

As I warned about months ago now, I can confirm that Google Chrome's #AI API is now actively being used for device fingerprinting and tracking purposes.
Out of 100 of the top global english language content sites - around 30% are actively using the API for fingerprinting, Google Advertising (profiling) or both) without the legally required consent (EU law).
Musing on our Universe, starting from the Big Bang differentials, between strong and weak nuclear forces, in a highly powerful, .01% spatial origin - that is now being Proportionally Inversed by the US, at Earth's scale, with global dominance.
Does the seemingly inevitable major contraction of a collapsing US, directly counterweight such Original power, even if just at the scale of our planet? Has this pattern equitably been recurring, throughout human history and prior, while our educational systems lack this founding knowledge... inevitably resulting in our extinction?
Perhaps Spin Physics and overlapping cyclic ecosystems, aren't given enough attention by those in power?..

The Trump rot goes all the way down...
"Kristi Noem’s Agency Gave Her Donor a Lucrative Contract Just Before She Left
The Homeland Security Department signed a multi-million dollar agreement to buy five aircraft from a company owned by a political contributor of the secretary on her last day, documents show."
Well, they have nightmares about guillotines....
Seriously, though, it was clear this lot were fascists decades ago (see thenerdreich.com & Paulina Borsook's book).
And fascists only gain power in economically stressed societies. They feed off social anxiety & anger
Trump & his fascist donors couldn't have taken off if the Dem leadership had looked after their working-class base.
Failing guillotines, start a viable third party. A Mamdani party. Prog dems, greens would join
@david_chisnall "infinite loop"...
This is the secondary problem with rogue #AI, following the primary of #TechBros using Divide and Conquer Strategies to destabilize root infrastructure, so they can use their obese wealth in 'rescuing' it.
#AI is a timely, increasingly effective tool in assisting the abusive wealthiest, to control more root infrastructure - as are #DataCenters. This abusive behavioral pattern is nurtured through 'unbridled' #Capitalism, where 'too much' is never too much.
