also, what kinds of easy to do benefits would people like for subscribing? We can also make our show notes available, do an AMA, or things like that maybe? Would love to find a way to make all 4 of our fans happy 🤭
If we ever hit $500 a month, we want to try doing two episodes a month and maybe some other goodies like episode art.
AGT NEWS BREAKING NEWS!!!!
Do love @brooke and me ranting about trashy movies but wish you could put us in your ear holes two weeks early?! Monthly subscribers to our ko-fi will now get early access to our episodes 2 WEEKS before all those normies when we do our general release on the 1st of the month.

What can you listen to now? This early release episode is about George A. Romero’s “Day of the Dead” (1985) and how the anti-auteur of American cinema changed horror while pioneering independent filmmaking. Oh, and a friendly zombie named “Bub”.
Additionally, by subscribing, you will also be supporting an unemployed trans woman going back to grad school to become a therapist and a self-employed trans woman who supports union organizing!

Artist: Forestine (they/them, @forestine )
Why?
Forestine has been a pillar of the electronic music community on Mastodon / Fediverse for years, and their music not only really brings on an ambience, but has great texture to it too.
Where to start?
Their album "Mending" is great to just put on and let it envelop you as you do crafts, vibe with friends, or sit around a bonfire.
https://forestine.bandcamp.com/album/mending
I also really encourage people to check out some of their sets from Drone Days past and present, as part of the Earth Modular Society. This has been one of the cooler music projects happening in the cool parts of the internet that still exist.

Going forward, we will be releasing one episode a month. If you want to get access to it before the first of the month though, we are going to start next episode uploading episodes a week early for subscribers on our ko-fi!
Additionally, if we can get to $500 a month, we will try to start releasing two episodes a month! Currently, we have no subscribers. We're both unemployed trans women who could use some help though, so consider tossing us a few bucks or subscribing even.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have William Shatner explain to you in Esperanto that you should wait to have sex until marriage?
No, I didn't just have a weird dream after gorging on pizza before bed last night...apparently...because @brooke and I recorded a whole podcast about a movie that is apparently exactly that. Come join us to learn about "Incubus," a movie filmed by a mad man who lied to the Catholic Church, and the State of California to convince them to let him yell at Shatner in Esperanto for ten days...and somehow produced kirkland Seventh Seal.
You can listen to our new episode on our website (https://anothergirlstreasure.net/), youtube (https://www.youtube.com/@AnotherGirlsTreasurePodcast), apple podcasts, or wherever you can stick an RSS feed into!

Artist: Bloodless Girls (@bloodlessgirls)
Why?
Over the next few weeks, I want to feature musical artists on Masto and the fediverse. And Bloodless Girls has been out here helping share great music by trans artists on TransMusicMonday with me for a while now. They deserve a listen to!
Where to start?
Bloodless girls' music is moody and feels like what I mean when I say get out there and make art for yourself and see it through.
The music video for J. Sheridan Le Fanu is exactly this. Leaning into limited resources to use the roughness to express. It's a beautiful video and the music reminds me of sitting with my best friends back in Nebraska as they fiddled on their guitars and sang what moved them.
Bloodless Girls has more up on bandcamp too, and it resonates in that same place for me as Daniel Johnston's music. Something moving that I can't always put into words.

And if you want to help two unemployed trans ladies keep doing fun shit (and housed and fed and stuff), toss us a few bucks on ko-fi:

What *IS* trash cinema? Are werewolves bisexuals? How do we purge our cities of assholes?
These are the questions we set out to answer this week on Another Girl’s Treasure as we discuss WEREWOLF BITCHES FROM OUTER SPACE!!!

Artist: Jepyang (they/she)
Why?
Because our fediverse friend @jepyang gave us permission to use their amazing music for our podcast, Another Girl's Treasure! Also, her stuff is definitely underappreciated and I would love to see more people give them a listen!
Where to start?
So we use the song "Edible Cartoons" from the album "Jagnype," and I would suggest giving the whole thing a listen because it's become part of my regular rotation for instrumental electronic music with the right kind weird in it.
https://jepyang.bandcamp.com/track/edible-cartoons
Also, I have a strange love for getting weird with Christmas media and "Carol of the Merry Ding Dong" gets funky with the beep boops on some very familiar melodies.

Guess what friends: Another Girl's Treasure is releasing a second NEW EPISODE on SEPT 15!!!
Since it's our first month of the podcast, we wanted to get a few episodes out early to give people a taste of what to expect.
If you want to catch it when it goes live, check out our RSS feed, subscribe on apple podcasts, or go straight to the source at https://anothergirlstreasure.net/
So, what vile treat do we have in store for you all?
WEREWOLF BITCHES FROM OUTER SPACE
Yes, you read that right! You are not hallucinating...or if you are, you didn't hallucinate this. We will be doing a deep discussion and thorough analysis on this magnum opus of trash cinema.

And if you enjoy what you hear or want to help us get to the point where we can release episodes more often, you can support us on ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/anothergirlstreasure
This episode should be live on Apple Podcasts later today as well...it's just being stubborn at the moment and going to take a bit.
Also, fair warning that my audio is a bit choppy on this one. It was one of our first records, so still working out some recording issues. We finally fixed this in our last few episodes though, so shouldn't be a problem in the future.
ANOTHER GIRL'S TREASURE: EPISODE 1 IS OUT!!?!
For our first episode, we take you into the Roger Corman pulp monster movie: THE WASP WOMAN!
Is it a good idea to let a vaguely European scientist inject wasp juices into you? What is a woman willing to do to regain her youth and girlboss the cosmetics industry? Did Wasp Woman inspire the Substance???
We discuss it all this month on Another Girl's Treasure. You can listen now on our website and RSS feed: https://anothergirlstreasure.net/

They have Christian mingle for Christians to date each other, Grindr for the gay and bi men to get wild with each other, and tinder for whatever it is straight people do…which app is it where I can meet lesbian bank robber outlaws???
Oh, and I'd appreciate if people could help boost this on BlueSky too (for those with accounts), so I can continue to get the wonderful trans music out to more people: https://bsky.app/profile/mallorysinn.bsky.social/post/3mufitd2eh22w

Artist: Slothrust
Artist: Slothrust (Leah, they/them, vocals/guitar)
Why?
Slothrust just released an EP, "Dystopian Cemetery," that is leading up to a new album that will be out September 18th. It's moody and angry indie rock with lyrics that give voice to the upsetting world we live in that is twisting us up.
Where to start?
I've found myself returning to the title track, "Dystopian Cemetary," a lot. It speaks to me about what it means to refuse to stop living in a world that is dying.
"00101001" is a song about an infectious oppression between people that has a bridge sung in binary that then breaks...sung by a non-binary person.
