Arizona raised solar panels on stilts over its crops so one acre could grow food and make power at once — then researchers noticed a third job nobody put in the brochure: skin under the panels runs 21 degrees cooler, in a country where crop workers are 20 times more likely to die of heat

Is the RAM used for the AI boxen compatible with normal desktops and servers?

When the AIpocallapse finally happens will we be able to pick up memory sticks for our boxen?

Will it just be slag even if technically compatible?

Everybody in the US should check their voter registration just before their local registration deadline

The Republican party is more actively than ever removing millions of people from the voter rolls

The amount of effort they go through to keep you from voting is proof to the power of your vote

an hour of FBI training videos on how to redact Trump's name from the Epstein files and logging the redactions per response to Allison Gill's lawsuit

Seems like that list of redactions should be released

FBI spent millions of dollars in overtime pay to protect Trump, we should be able to see the records

All 3 restaurants are listed as LGBTQ+ friendly, there were pride flags and colours all over the place

MacLeod's Books on Pender and Richards was fun. It's a mess of books. If you find something you like buy it because it might not be there the next day, as I found out

There are at least two other book stores within a few hundred meters of MacLeod's

Near MacLead's on Richards is a massage place that spouse reports was fantastic with true deep tissue massage

PiCaDo was quick and relatively inexpensive

I think it's run by @futurebird 's cat, so maybe you can get a discount code

Alternatively, the site says it's Pizza Cafe Donair, but I think that's just a front

Stega Eatery is local-owned for multiple generations

Family enjoyed it, we wanted to go back, but ran out of time

https://www.stegaeatery.ca/

I got lost and ended up in an Irish pub, then a boba shop :)

More boba shops than you can shake a straw at

Alex was happy to recommend a vodka flavour, the blackcurrent was indeed tasty

Wish I'd had time to explore more of the Kosak menu ( and order the pickled platter again ). They do have some stuff for take away, but we didn't get back for it

Vancouver has more great options than you can eat through in a week!

Really enjoyed Kozak Ukranian restaurant in Gastown. Alex/Oleg was entertaining

The star of the meal was the pickled platter

The borsh and sourdough were good. Kidling's pierogies didn't last long enough for me to try

The honey cake looks just like the pictures we saw. It's a light flavour, so more eye candy than sugar candy, but definitely glad we got a piece

There are several suspension bridges in the area. Capilano is private and the most touristy. It also has platforms to walk around in the tree tops. I had forgotton my Hobbit garb, so felt out of place :)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capilano_Suspension_Bridge

There are busses from downtown/waterfront to Capilano. I recommend Canada Place, which is also near the Olympic Torch, currently shut down due to global warmings :)

A local recommended the bridge at Lynn falls

VanDusen garden is great and huge. Plan a half day. Take snacks. Take sunscreen. Take a bazillion pictures. Bees. They have bees. They have sufficient flowers for all of those bees. They also have bee hives

They have a hedge maze. It was fun. Should gone slower and taken more time to enjoy it

We saw a crow steal a woman's unopened sandwich bag and her large sandwich. Crows galore

They do guided tours, I think they're free, but only a couple times a day

Once we figured it out, the bus was also great

Bus and city train use same payment card

If you go to the downtown/waterfront location you can get a wrist band or a keychain

https://www.translink.ca/transit-fares/compass-card

Stanley Park is great for walking, running, bicycling. There are many bike rental shops at a nearby bus stop - plan a couple hours - go multiple times, we did :)
