Do you have an opinion on the ⁂ (asterism) for the Fedi?

It looks like Mastodon 5.0 will use the symbol:

A friend of mine just launched Kosmo, a new #fediverse service out of Korea, built around the dōjin (同人) scene: fan works, fanzines, that whole self-published creative culture. It's live now at kos.moe, in open beta and Korean-language only for now.

It speaks #ActivityPub, so you get the basics: posting, following, boosting. It also has emoji reactions, and one account can hold several public profiles. They say profile tags are coming next, meant to express something about a profile's identity and usable for search and muting too.

It's still early, and they'd genuinely appreciate feedback from anyone who gives it a try.

- Rhythmbox: https://flathub.org/pt-BR/apps/org.gnome.Rhythmbox3
- ou então GNOME Music: https://flathub.org/pt-BR/apps/org.gnome.Music
- ou então Quod Libert: https://flathub.org/pt-BR/apps/org.gnome.Music

1/ Lactate does not cause lactic acidosis, and we've known this for more than 20 years: https://doi.org/10.1152/ajpregu.00114.2004

I believe this review paper found by reading xkcd comics, but I can't find the relevant strip right now. I guess the reason few people know this (besides not reading xkcd) is that this newish knowledge had little use. According to the video, lactate supplementation was not feasible until recently, because the available products were unpalatable.

Lactate supplementation is being used by some elite athletes, even though the corresponding research wasn't peer reviewed yet:

Nevertheless, I have two remarks:
