*extremely tired voice* "Make TV shows of 10-20 episodes a season ... *sigh* ... that come out on a yearly basis *lays down on the ground, stares into the sun* ... of 5+ seasons." There. There. Theerrre is your solution.

No. No no no. “raises serious questions” implies there’s any doubt. “Yet more proof” or “clear evidence of”. You’re not trying to convince people through a later argument, you are stating a fact.
How are they so bad at this?

My job for eight seasons was to find the most corrupt guys in America and turn their ridiculous evil into television, and I gotta say Paxton is a standout for being *comical* levels of corrupt. I’d say he has swagger but I think he’s just dumb & lazy because the (R) after his name is gold in Texas.

This is not just an AI problem but a general tech/private equity management vibe problem we began to encounter when those guys moved into Hollywood due to either money or streaming dominance. Small top-heavy staffs who don't go to set don't make future show runners.

I’ve been out of the loop a little, and was wondering why my New England 83 year old normielib mom had gone hard for Ossoff. Now I get it. The moms want blood.

Abolish ICE. Fire them all. Prosecute their crimes. Start with prosecuting the crimes first and work your way backward if that makes you more comfortable. But we cannot live in a country with this level of elite impunity.
These are the layups. All these actions are crimes. All the perjuries are crimes. Find one vicious bastard prosecutor and have them chew through these ICE/DHS cases starting Day One. Just enforce the law! The lowest bar possible!

No kink shaming except for Roko's basilisk weirdos.
Having written a TV show built on "deep dives on one bad rich guy per week" with one version 2008-2012 and another 2021-2025, I'll say that the OG evil rich guys were evil greedy assholes, and the new rich guys are mentally disordered perverts, and so do evil. And not the good kind of perverts.

And the name of the shell company! “Scientist” singular, “engineers” plural. Fucking embarrassing.
You’re a *defense contractor*. At least start some shell companies in different states and then vary the amounts and timing.
As shocking as this case is I know @czedwards.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy is shaking their head at the same thing I am - this is some PISS POOR MONEY LAUNDERING. Check 1001 of
a brand new account? Jesus we used to be a proper country.
"The thing that will bring us tens of billions of dollars in actual cash over the next decade even as it declines year over year" is not sexy for the guys who get paid in stock options ("GROWTH!!"), but is the actual functioning bit of capitalism left in Hollywood.
Separate from the details of the actual Paramount/WBD deal, we're going to need non-Hollywood writers to do a little homework and understand that "zombie cable arms" are, in the case of WBD, *40-60% of all revenue* depending on the year. It ain't dead just because the streaming enthusiasts asy so.
Your occasional reminder that 10 years ago American television was a cultural juggernaut that provided thousands of physical jobs, tens of millions of dollars of profit, while making audiences happy, and a bunch of venture capital and tech dipshits drove it into a ditch.

Does he fight interdimensional vampires? Does he fight kaiju? Does he make fun of his billionaire neighbors? Yes on all counts.
Your occasional reminder that ATOMIC ROBO is the finest pulp scifi comic in existence, and nothing is stopping you from going back to the beginning and reading the century-long story of a Nazi-punching Cthulhu fighting snarky robot.

The animating principle of representational democracy is to protect the rest of us from the whims of deranged rich people, be they kings or oligarchs. Everything else is wainscoting.
