Is it just me or are there fewer innuendos this series? The whole "balls are even" joke stuck out like a sore thumb as a result.

Quick one - if I was to quote the lyrics "snap and clap and touch your toes", would you know what it's from?

Mind, I'm still hurting from some dickhead on here making a "funny" about me in a bikini. Didn't think I was, but seems I am.

Absolutely horrific night's sleep, plus discovered the planning permission for the care home near us went through with an extra floor on it, so we now have another couple of windows overlooking our garden.

Gonna make it fun come summer, when I get out there in a bikini (or less). See how many of them I can bump off with heart attacks.

Piss off with your bluesky bridging crap, I'm not in the mood.

Yesterday brought something home to me - exactly how isolated I sometimes feel working on my own on projects.

It was really, *really* productive (and very pleasant) working through something with a very knowledgeable friend over a half-day, even if I did feel completely out of my depth at times. But I learned a lot, and bashed a new approach together which I feel will work much better.

I don't think I'd have reached this conclusion on my own.

We're back with the Quantel Paintbox tho I think.

Top Of The Pops flags?

That's quite a good idea.

"I'm wanking on Wotsits,
You can wank on the Wotsits.
Put your hands in the air,
It's like wanking on Wotsits."

Morning Pops fam! We've got four tonight, starting at 7pm (hooray!).

Two from 2000 (less hooray) - Billie Piper twice, but we do get Belle & Sebastian, Bon Jovi and Chrissie Hynde.

The 1977 one will be in the heyday of Legs & Co ("one for the dads"), Stranglers, Yes, Smokie and David Soul.

Then we're into 1984 - Kim Wilde, Alison Moyet, Stevie Wonder. I'll try not to put any more lighting fixtures on the wishlist.

You in?

I get "cheese wisdom" when I overindulge. It's like a form of being drunk.

Mmm, cheese.

Well aware I asked this a bit back but nothing really came of it. And now I *really* need to get it going.

Need an acronym for a system which does admin, repair tracking, materials (purchasing+usage), and customer management. Doesn't need to cover all that, obvs.

One syllable. Dead easy to remember. Nice short acronym which doesn't clash with existing IT acronyms. Company's called Hotfox.

Come on Fedi, you're good at this. Any ideas please?

Nothing makes me feel more of a fat dowdy old cow than going through my wardrobe to see what doesn't fit me any more.

For the first time in years, I'm back to doing the occasional Sunday lunch. Today it's pate+baguette, garlic chilli prawns to start followed by roast beef, Yorkshires, cauli cheeese, roasties and veg. Pud is chocolate mousse pots with shortbread.

Chilled Cremant in the fridge, probably an enjoyable Bordeaux to accompany the main, and maybe a Cognac.

I feel quite decadent but hoping to make a habit of this again and start having guests round, like I used to do back in "the old days"...

My wife's autocorrect changed "Up the Trin!" to "Up the tran".

Absolutely mad one last night, mostly cos the rugby crowd stayed to celebrate Wakey's win, but was also a mod/ska night on in town which apparently was crap, so they all birled down to see us.

Frank Wilson "Do I Love You" on TT1, Contours "Do You Love Me" about to start on TT2.

Very eclectic night of requests - everything from Stiff Little Fingers to Steppenwolf, The Turtles to The Cult, Metallica to Dolly Parton.

Bloody love this job tho, making people dance.

Here's that FGTH version of Slave To The Rhythm.

It's *very* different.

On a tenuous Trevor Horn related "cover version" thing too - dig out the first version of "Slave To The Rhythm", which was originally recorded by Frankie Goes To Hollywood (and never released).

2 decades later Thames Water still under investigation.
