I'm not sure what to say...

Finally got our new batteries fully charged!! Had to use the big generator to do it though. We really needed all the coulomb counters to learn what 100% is.

Now we're heating the bath house on battery power alone. Something that would have crashed the system with the AGM batteries. And one of the major selling points I used to justify the upgrade. No more turning the water heater on and off. Unless a storm is coming, it can just stay on now.

My trailer batteries did OK. Made it back up to 68%. I should be able to swap back to the heat pump instead of propane tonight.

Hey now. Where's my Sun? Come on now. It was totally clear last night and was supposed to be sunny today.

We need the batteries to get to 100% so all the monitoring gear can recalibrate.

Google illegally chopping down a massive forest in Finland and even removing the topsoil so nothing can grow again.

Makes sense. If copyright no longer applies to big corporations, as LLMs have shown, then why should any other regulation?

I'm not sure an appropriate fine is even possible for this. And you can't put that forest back.

I predict we'll be having angry people burning down datacenters in the next couple years.

I finally got the cabling tidied up as much as possible

^^

oops. that was a static photo after it had been connected/disconnected for a period of time.

THIS is the video of the intermittent connection.

The instructions were clear as mud, but I finally got some sort of communication going between the EG4 batteries and my HP laptop running dreaded Windows 11 home.

But the connections seems unstable or something else is going on. And it's not populating all the data and/or giving misinformation.

RS485 to USB-A adapter and drivers from EG4.

Looks like we got 2.4" on Pine Mountain.

Still having real problems with the Starlink. I suspect the winds/rain shifted our antenna or something.

Now we just need some Sun to charge up all the batteries...

It’s pretty awesome up here tonight❗️

Getting thunder and occasional downpours.

Total at 1.7" on Pine Mountain so far

Starlink acting up again.

Our Starlink has been rather wonky for the last hour or so. Wonder if our dish is wonky from the wind and rains or if it's a wider issue.

Resorting to my little propane catalytic heater. Batteries just to low for the heat pump this evening. If I conserve until bedtime I can run the heat pump at a low setting overnight.

Camp batteries are set. We did run the generator for about 1/2 an hour - but just to test charging the new batteries through the outback inverter.

My trailer battery is another issue. I'm at 45%. I've added my camping power bank to supplement power and get a little more into my main battery bank.

1.1" so far. keep it coming!!

This is real rain we're getting. We're up to about .4" in camp so far. Supposed to continue all day. Woot!

Pillowfort is turning out the lights by the end of the year.

It was a mad dash, but finally got everything (I hope) rain-proofed.

We'd better actually get some now. lol.

That was a hell of a day. I've been going non-stop for 12 hours now.

Lifted 1500lbs of batteries into place. wired them all up. Even though we only got the batteries charged to 80%, The smart shunt says there are 5 days remaining at a normal 500W load.

Winds are absolutely crazy up here on Pine Mountain right now.

I guess it's time for my porch aluminet shade to come down. The winds have already pulled some of the stakes out of the ground. It's gonna get shredded if I down pull it down now.
