People who live where it rains won't think this was much rainfall over the last 3 days.
People who have lived thru this endless summer of drought, like me, are rejoicing in the tremendous amount of rain that came from the sky ...

The beautiful thing about living in harmony with nature and the other living beings around us is that we each take only what we need and leave the rest to sustain our fellow creatures here on this plentiful planet.

The squirrels kindly decided we deserved a single butternut squash this year. Really more than we needed...

(I have to figure a better way to squirrel proof next year. Glove for scale)

Here in our apparently infinite summer heatwave, it's the chile harvest that will never stop ...
Picked the "final" harvest again today for the nth time. Plants look like they weren't touched. I'll pick another "final" harvest in another day or two.
After I finish roasting these ...

It's rather problematic that this is going on at the start of October ...
High of 87F predicted for tomorrow.
But, nice to have a freshly picked eggplant for lunch!
