Polls are trash, but in terms of the Senate, Dems will likely not have a majority, Fetterman is not a Democrat. And even if they eek out a 51 seat majority, they'll never overcome the filibuster and they'll never change the filibuster rules, even though it's not in the constitution and they made it up to protect slave states.

No place in the constitution does it say a super majority is required to pass bills into law. It's 50 votes plus 1. That's it.

The Trump administration is “building a case” to strip Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) of her U.S. citizenship and eventually deport her, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

Department of Homeland Security agents raided the Minnesota congresswoman’s home on Monday as part of “an ongoing federal criminal investigation,” the Justice Department said.

Citing U.S. officials and people familiar with the investigation, The Journal reported that part of the probe is looking into how Omar became a U.S. citizen after arriving from Somalia decades ago as a refugee.

A probe of her family’s immigration paperwork is said to be checking whether Omar or her late father listed her as 17 rather than 18 when he applied for citizenship.

The distinction is important since at age 17 she would have qualified automatically for citizenship as a minor, rather than needing to make her own immigration application.

Omar, 44, became a U.S. citizen in 2000 and has previously denied accusations of immigration fraud.

The report underlines that the scrutiny of Omar is part of the Trump administration’s “unprecedented effort to denaturalize U.S. citizens by proving they lied in the process of obtaining citizenship, filing dozens of lawsuits.”

“Omar’s case, if it proceeds, could become the highest-profile —and most controversial — part of that effort,” it adds.

A crowd at a President Donald Trump rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday chanted “deport” several times as the president attacked Omar.

And they vastly underestimate the Palestine effect. Polling won't show this, but people in this country who have experienced oppression can see the similarities with what's happening to Palestinians. The government thinks we're fools, and 1/3rd of us are fools, but when they diminish the amount of money we have to pay for Trump's illegal war of aggression against Iran as just a bit more at the gas pump they must really think we're dipshits.

The cost of diesel fuel has doubled. Diesel powers nearly all of our economy, from farming to shipping to everything. We know companies aren't going to eat those costs. We know we're looking at stagflation for at least the next decade if not longer.
