If students thinking for themselves, and not becoming reliant on chatbots sounds like a good idea to you, check out which municipal parties and candidates support removing AI chatbots from classrooms:

Hey #Vancouver.

There's an election October 17 (with early voting available)!

The mayor and councilor races get all the press, but did you know you can vote for school board trustees too?

Trustees choose how funding gets used within the school system.

The previous ABC majority supported rolling out Microsoft Copilot chatbots into classrooms.

Even if you don't have a kid in school, you have a stake in the next generation. One day they're going to be your doctors (terrifying).

The real answer is "we hope it will make the economy number go up and ideally we can lay off a bunch of teachers" but it would be interesting to see him try to justify it.

Can someone in the media please ask our Minister of AI why a technology that tells kids how to commit mass violence is something we need in schools?

AI is incompatible with the basic principles of schooling.

Don't cheat.
↪ AI is trained on stolen work.

Think for yourself.
↪ AI confidently tells you what to think.

Work hard.
↪ AI does the work for you.

It's OK to make mistakes.
↪ AI removes the chance to make mistakes and learn.

In #BC we have the opportunity on October 17 to Vote AI Out
