Will tell this to whoever is the first on to come knock my door because I’m singing too loud. Hasn’t happened yet, but it’s my nightmare

Not sure if related but reminds me something that @spiralganglion said a while back on an episode of Feeling of computing

“I’m writing against the common view that a computer is just a tool, and I’m arguing for us to look beyond all the things that the computer does for us, like word processing and spreadsheets, to what using it does to us as people.” Well, I’ll have to read this book now https://www.felienne.nl/csoc-s01e07/

I wanna be the cool hacker but ended as the corporate drone. Not the worst anyways

Yeah, brain damage, good argument. Derogatory.

This is about people against language models, go figure

TIL that Project Gutenberg predates the World Wide Web 🤯

Dudes will never cease to amaze me. I’ve seen a couple of these already. Coming from progressive dudes of course

Since I started to have lessons I’ve been stubborn about singing Florence + the machine. How is that going? Terribly. I don’t have a special voice, I’m in the high side 😭

Fun fact: most women have a voice in the high side of the full range, and yet for some reason we are often impressed by those

This is your chance: recommend me an album

I’ll will find it funny that Europeans think Americans are stupid while their governments keep doing whatever the US ask them. No matter who is the president…

I need to stop and share one of my favourite quotes by Jane Jacobs: “If you want to find out about a part of the world you haven’t personally experienced, you probably will get a better idea from a good novel than you will from any nonfiction.” #literature

It’s a privilege to live a 15 minutes walk from the office. And have that walk by the Akershus fortress and the fjord

Despite all my complains one day I won’t live near the Oslo fjord and I’ll miss it

I rarely talk with him. This is not my doing

My youngest brother just messaged me asking for an offline writing device. And please don’t say pen and paper. There’s a reason why he wants a digital device. For a bunch of people writing on a computer, where you can quickly edit, is an improvement over paper

Of course what I love the most is when it does the wrong thing because it’s just a Bayesian turkey. The it really feels just like a test for my own understanding

Love when Claude does the wrong thing because there’s too much in the context window. Love when Claude does the wrong thing because there’s too little in the context window. Luckily I have everything in my context window, it just take a bit of effort to bring it up to my working memory
