While the idea behind that tool is nice in theory, it is a game of whack-a-mole at best and risks broken apps. Their installation guide asks you to download and run a script as administrator - which is also a risk in itself.

PIR (the .org registry) confirms it suspended the autistici.org domain name out of fear of the US legal threats, arguing it is "legally mandated to suspend it", which is not, IMHO, a given at all (given that PIR doesn't have any contractual relation with autistici directly, the registrar does). this is a very dangerous precedent that confirms a deeply rooted fear that the US essentially controls all of DNS.
if PIR's arguments are left standing, what's to keep the US from applying the same logic to ICANN and suspending an entire TLD?
