1. We now have railings for our front and side stairs, for when our older relatives visit.

2. The next program at the awesome old theater is exactly the movie my daughter wanted to see. (They're watching bits of "North by Northwest" in her critical thinking class.)

3. I not only got the new #JustDance game but also watched the new #MST3K movie today, so am feeling extra fan-nish.

1) My phalaenopsis orchid at work has been blooming since May. Same blooms. I’m kind of in awe of it. And it sent up new bloom stalks last week and over the weekend. Thriving on neglect, really.
2) Happy with my own cooking this evening.
3) Planning for a trip to celebrate an uncle-in-law’s 95th birthday at the end of the year. And his wife the aunt-in-law’s 94th the same week. Haven’t been out there for the Christmas holidays in almost 20 years. (That whole side of the family is German, so expecting mountains of cookies, too!)

- the satisfaction of splitting a nut like a cashew or an almond completely in half with your teeth when you eat one so that you can have one half on each side of your mouth

- crushing a sprig of fresh rosemary between your fingers and taking in that wonderful scent

Okay, I'll be good. I'll feel better this way - if I can think of any good things, that is.

1. This is sort of backhanded, but it's a good thing that I didn't lose water or internet today. Google Fiber is laying cable in my neighborhood, and today they cut a water main, gas line, and internet cable. The affected people were 😡. Luckily, I escaped, at least today - I lost water service last week for a few hours.

2. I like hearing Willie Nelson's voice.

3. I had a good apple, an Envy apple.
