You just can't make this shit up.

"Anosh Ahmed and Sameer Suhail ... embezzled $15 million from a Chicago hospital where Ahmed was chief financial officer. ... indicted for his role in an alleged fraudulent COVID-19 testing scheme. ... made donations to Paxton totaling $190,000, including $25,000 days after being indicted, based on campaign finance records reviewed by the Journal."

PAROLE BOARD MEMBER: Okay. All right. So then you received a life sentence. Age 19, you received a sentence to die in prison. What were your thoughts then?
MURDERER: I felt remorse. I didn't -- I thought I was going to die, and then I had to -- I had to live with what I did.

And this, children, is why the "death penalty" is utter bullshit.

"Eventually picked me up by my throat. The reason why I knew I was off the ground is because my feet were no longer touching."

I mean, come the fuck on. PULL MY OTHER FINGER.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY CONVICTED THIS GUY ON THIS ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT TESTIMONY!

Woman testified her ex is nine years older than her after saying minutes earlier that he was five years older. She claims she was beaten so badly that she went into labor, drove herself to the hospital while in labor, then took the three months premature baby home a week after it was born.

I got an email from Kanopy (streaming site used by my local public library) with recommendations for the weekend and it includes a documentary called "I am Martin Parr."

I'd never heard of him but found the Martin Parr Foundation website. His photographs are wonderful.

I would like to know why Baby Cat does NOT feel the need to make biscuits on my naked skin after her nails are trimmed but insists that she be able to do so when they are at their sharpest.

While I muse on the end of our international nightmare ...

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21811878/

"Apart from what Mr. L [the complainant] did with the handcuffs, he [the defendant] couldn't -- as a first-responder, as a paramedic -- chomp down hard enough to even break the skin."

(The defendant being a paramedic has nothing to do with anything that happened that resulted in the charges.)

Defense Attorney in his closing argument:

"You know what that shows, ladies and gentlemen? You know what that shows? That as a lifesaver, as a first-responder, he was in extremity almost -- in extremis, by even in that to save himself from lack of consciousness, he didn't bite down hard enough, because that was his instinct."

You'll never guess the verdict.

"By moving to hold Leon Black in contempt, Chairman Comer is sending a clear message that wealth and influence do not put anyone beyond the reach of congressional oversight," the survivors said.

Well, we'll see. Donald Trump has not come under scrutiny by Congress about what he was getting up to with his close friend #JeffreyEpstein, and I'm not holding my breath that he ever will.
