it actually ignores the certificate error and does
```
"POST /systems/v1/rfos HTTP/1.1" 404 134 "-" "Teufel Stereo M/2.21.0"
```

alright .. NOPE ... it did not help..
just got lucky?

needs more debugging

WTH #teufelaudio. Are you ding #plannedObsolence? 🙁

Currently both of my #Raumfeld Devices stop playing after a minute or two.

#tcpdump reveals a call to api.raumfeld.com, which seems to be down.

As soon as that call fails, the Speaker reboots! 🤯 This is absolutely abysmal negligence on the side of malicious.

Blocking the IP or blackholing DNS-name did not help.

But CNAMEing api.raumfeld.com to my own server did the trick. After a certificate error it continues to play! :-D

21yrs ago, I helped my parents switch from Windows to #Apple. (Less support work for me)

Last Weekend, I helped switch them to #Linux #Ubuntu Desktop.

Apple has finally become too annoying and expensive. Also too much support work for me 😅

Ubuntu Desktop has become incredibly user friendly.

70% of the work, was getting data out of #Apples clutches.

Exporting iCloud Notes and passwords? LOL
Exporting iCloud Photos? Annoying as Hell

Still waiting on that requested GDPR Data Export..

#novisad at night with Night Market ☺️

#UX Design in #serbia staircase hallways.... 🤨

It's night.. the light is off... You try to find your way in an unfamiliar hallway to your temporary apartment.

In front of you is a dimly glowing light. You gently touch it. It's a button. You press it...

It rings and wakes someone up 🫣😱
It's a %§× door bell!

Because all the light buttons are unlit !!! Only the door bells are visible at night !!

1. Sellers on #AliExpress now generate their product descriptions with #AI
2. AliExpress AND the seller DISCLAIM responsibility for the product description

What Exactly Then, am I buying then? #WTF?

The product page has the same informational value as a blank page without photos.

THIS is saying, please randomly throw money at us or go away, with total disregard for intelligent customers.

hard to shop for replacement parts that way, where specs matter.

Do you like good flashlights on your #bicycle ?

I went a bit overboard the last months and created a whole system of #flashlight mounts. Originally for the #vello folding bike, but now also for any handle- or steering-bar you can wrap a ziptie around.

uploads on 3dprint.social coming soon.

For now everything is here: https://www.printables.com/article/down-the-bicycle-flashlight-rabbit-hole-YNYj3m5

Reading up on the storyline premise of "Space: 1999"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space:_1999

Just about Every Sentence in there triggers a 🙈 "yeah sure" 🙈"absolutely no" 🙈 "what were they smoking" reaction 😂

I don't even want to imagine what earth would look like, if a nuclear explosion happened on the moon, strong enough to catapult it out of the solar system at significant fractions of c. Not to mention no part of the moon would remain. Let's not even talk about the black hole. 👍😁

70s scifi at its best.

Finally upgraded to a vacuum that actually sucks ( 😛 pun intended)

As usual, this called for some #FreeCAD designs to hang everything in place.

Lol...
Visiting my parents home.

Wondering why one of the #Tradfri Zigbee Bulbs is offline .. degrading the #Zigbee Network since it also acts as router...

Tried to re-pair it. No dice.

Finally decide to screw it out and bring it closer to the coordinator...

Wonder why it's so hot for a LED...

🤦🤦🤦

"Someone" saw the low kelvin warm white setting of the bulb, and thought it to be defect and "helpfully" replaced it with an old non-LED 60W light bulb.

And threw away the router bulb...

The downside for the customer of course is, that they can't just replace one part but always need to replace all parts. (And guess what, the pogo pins in the dock are really bad and remain stuck after a few uses)

As for the engineering. I expect the two contacts at the vacuum's bottom can be slotted in by whoever packages these with or without a dock. Otherwise the logistics would seem insane for two saved contacts.

The surprises of chinese upselling.

My mother has a hand vacuum. It stopped charging. She bought a new one, on the assumption that it would work just fine with the existing charging station. (same model, but without co-packaged charging dock, which was no longer available as a set)

Nope.

They actually produced two different versions, so they could save money on the two tiny metal contacts at the bottom.
