I’m reading East of Eden and it’s hard to describe how shitty normal books feel compared to the prose Steinbeck lays down page after page in this book.

Could someone please vibe code something better than Jenkins? JFC

The symbolEffect() modifier adds bounce, pulse, variable color, and rotation animations to SF Symbols with almost no effort. Multi-layer symbols can even animate each layer individually ✨ https://www.hackingwithswift.com/quick-start/swiftui/how-to-animate-sf-symbols

📘 The #CHERI Tag Bit Transport Overlay Standard v0.9 is now available

The "0.9" is important: this is not intended to be the final word. We're looking for feedback from people building CHERI systems, interconnects, and IP. Read it, try to break it, and tell us your feedback.

Fundamentally: AI can be brought to bear on a task only when that task is measured. Stop measuring and you have the task all to yourself.

Long term: if you enjoy doing a thing and you want to keep doing it you have to stop measuring it. All of this AI stuff happening now just reinforces this fact. If you want to keep doing it and you enjoy it, stop measuring and especially stop comparing.

This explains why the process of AI models churning out proofs feels half baked or irresponsible. It’s not that the proof is incorrect, but it’s really only half of the story. Like a mathematician that just gave up on their proof the minute the fun part is over; A deadbeat dad.

I think a big part of mess or clutter in the household is guilt. I don’t want to be preachy or point the finger at anyone, but at least when I look at why there is a pile of stuff or my desk is messy or why I have a bunch of things that I know I don’t intend to use, it’s because I feel guilty about the waste or the missed opportunity or I don’t want to admit to myself that I’m not the person I thought I was or that I wanted to be when I bought the stuff.

I need to figure out what to do with this 7 lb zucchini
