oh my god stabbing things into little wool sculptures is so fun
#NeedleFelting

I have to go eat a fish now so I can steal the metal from the fish's blood and put it in mine

if I can summon the energy to stand up

anemia is so weird

my blood is like sorry I'm mad that there isn't enough metal in me, so now you're too tired to take a shower. have fun

just wanted to say welcome to all the newcomers in the #introduction tag! I'm sorry about all the shit going down on bluesky and I hope you all enjoy it here and decide to stay. the fediverse can have a bit of a learning curve but for me at least it's been a really positive space for the most part

don't be afraid to check out different instances and move if you find one that you think will suit you better, or make alts to try out different spaces. some are more fandom & creativity focused, some are more focused around politics/activism, there's lots that are focused on specific interests, there's furry/trans/queer/disabled spaces, etc

doing some more cleaned-up contour drawings

I saw a post a while ago saying that their phone was full of names stored like Sam Plumber and Lee Florist and Helen IT and John DontAnswer, and they suddenly realised that this is actually how English surnames have always worked

meanwhile mine is full of names like Rachel SophiesMum and Michael Alfie's Dad, which is technically the exact *opposite* of how English names have traditionally worked

mostly because, honestly? Kinda what I'm called.

a small child pointed at me in the street today and yelled "[KID]'s mum" and I somehow managed not to respond with "NOT WHAT I'M CALLED"

sentences I did not expect to say as a parent: "You can breakdance once you've finished eating."

Ugh I keep meaning to do a re-#introduction and then forgetting about it. OKAY.

- queer nonbinary butch, whatever pronouns
- old, married, polyam, parent
- AuDHD
- mentally ill
- physically disabled, mobility aid user
- pagan-ish/kitchen witch, in a vague, lazy kind of way
- I like plants & cooking & cats & books & zines
- I draw a lot including fanart sometimes
- fandoms include All Tomorrows, Cultist Sim/Book of Hours, The Locked Tomb, The Adventure Zone, Stardew Valley and Utena

this is generally a space for me to decompress & have some time away from thinking about the hellscape that is 2026, so I don't generally talk about politics, current events or discourse here, or follow accounts that are primarily about those things. that doesn't mean I don't engage with those issues elsewhere in my life, it just means here isn't my space for doing so.

the tag for my art is #SnekArt because I'm really imaginative like that
