#ScribesAndMakers Oct 8: "Our next featured creator is a poet, potter, author, and crafter. Do you engage in multiple creative activities?"

I write, make software, build model kits, and every now and then I try and fail to get into visual arts.

this framework will hopefully allow me to look at some interesting questions: why are we so fascinated by maids? where does their role in trans culture in particular come from? what's the appeal of this kind of roleplay? plus some tension about the borders of consent and stuff

it's also gonna be hot! i hope

the premise of my current story is that a secretive pop idol invites six random girls to a contest to find the perfect maid. There's challenges, punishment, drama, and cocktails by the pool! I'm having a lot of fun writing it so far

#ScribesAndMakers Create a four line rhyming poem that includes the word goose

Sweet dreams are made of geese
Who am I to disagree?
I need to come up with two more lines
wait, no, i don't, cause I am free

"Intro to Computer Science" implies "Outro from Computer Science"

#ScribesAndMakers Draw a fish and share it.

also, is it just me or is the Romefeller foundation mildly antisemitic-coded

what is this shot in the Gundam Wing opening narration. Heero looks like he just made a "deez nuts" joke

there needs to be a series about a thirty-something ex-magical girl in therapy

Usagi-chan is now getting fatshamed by a talking cat. The traumatic experiences never stop

#ScribesAndMakers 2026.09.30 — What was the last song you listened to?

seven episodes in and i still don't fully understand what Oz even is

so Gundam Wing is gonna keep being Like This, huh?

guess i should watch something more serious and less cheesy, like Macross Seven

#ScribesAndMakers September 22: Promotion day. Self or someone else. Or both.

#ScribesAndMakers Sep 18: Change one word in the title of a famous book, a movie, a song, and a play to create four new titles.

Atlas Hugged
V for Venison
... can't come up with a good one for songs ...
Breath of a Salesman

people always talk about "moist" being the least sexy word in existance, but my counterpoint is "cleavage"

#ScribesAndMakers 17 Sep.: Solution for yesterday's pop quiz

Turns out I got y'all good! Only one person guessed "dildo" but that is in fact the one thing that hasn't come up in my writing so far.

Ballgags show up basically every other chapter, and the steam-powered magic wand shows up in a pretty early scene! (It works off compressed steam. So it's not THAT silly.)

And of course, Emily wears a chastity cage.

You have some reading to do!
