so it's either a lazy excuse, or a genuine intention that invariably falls flat.

half-hearted, quantity over quality ... thoughtless.

even more sloppy product design, things that break even faster

from deep thought I would expect things that work for the user, where the designer has thought of more than one would expect

true tools would support the creation of better stuff, this really doesn't appear to do that

funnily enough, I never see those AI users actually "thinking deeply about what really matters"

(as they often claim they would, after delegating all the "simple" tasks to the chatbot.)

I just see more and more sloppily done work.

What's this? (Not sure if it's what I planted)

Good morning, fellow luddites & antifascists.

Please continue to save the world

I can't come up with a perfect explanation, but also can't say it doesn't fit

the #idiom "being part and parcel of" is pretty opaque

It's sad that this has to be said but ...

The plastic pals of the billionaires aren't going to solve humanity's problems. No way.

I'd say that quite on the contrary, "AI" is what we got *instead* of being allowed to make steps towards solving our problems.

It's part of parcel of our problems.

Just look at the devaluation of humanity its proponents are spewing, gloatingly.

No, they're seeing our humanity *as* the problem.

It's a fascist political project, that alone should be reason enough to fully reject it.

But I want to emphasize one thing: let's never forget how *superfluous* it is, too.

We weren't unproductive (and this has done, to my knowledge, nothing measurable to improve any industry but scammers).

We didn't suffer from a lack of "intelligence" (or if we did, collectively, this has only exacerbated it!)

We did *better* in every way before this came along.

It's the biggest scam ever.

Betting on grand theft autocomplete is betting against our own future.

The sooner the bubble bursts and their data centers get dismantled, the better.

Oh sure, computers are tools. But presently, they're being used against us.

We must stop this hype and salvage any true "tools" later.

Throw as many spanners as possible in the works. And do maintenance.

Time to become a constituency again, to say no to "AI", to these plans.

Our volition counts, but it must be clear! "AI" is not the future. It's a dead end.
