Preparing steam page. It's starting to feel real 😅

Most people probably like "yes noob" but if it can help one more person discover it, I'm happy.

Also it'll help me remember. I might've even learned and forgot it once before. Very sci-fi.

#Blender people! Have you heard the wonderous news of Alt+Shift+S? To encircleify things? OH MY GOD. I MUST NEVER BE ALLOWED TO FORGET THIS.

*Immediately forgets*

Lol, spent 20 minutes on vertex wiggling and getting it just right. Look in render and:

Never want my games to feel like work, a struggle, sure. But not "I have to play or else.." Make a game people enjoy exploring and I don't think you need the attention locks and imprisonment.

But then I'm poor so what do I know.

Thank you mastodon for remogin the "unfollow" button and replacing with "message" no more accidentally unfollowing and re-following and sometimes 3 loops of that to where I'm not sure and it was all an accident.

ART CHECK!

Can you tell which is military and which civilian? Can you see the common lineage?

Some things are better to stick with what everyone gets, right? Innovation for innovation's sake is pointless.

Gamer see erlenmeyer flask, neuron activate.

Any more is complication. Right?

no the lines need to be thicker and the spacing needs to be less fucking shit. Well. Maybe next time.

Have I just made the first icon I don't hate with a passion? Or will I just learn to hate it over time?

Eyyyyy my old version of Circumstellar (Void Dreadnoughts, what a terrible name)

That was CSG and hermite data I coded from the whitepaper. I was very pleased with myself in 2013/14.

Dem textures though, oof. #gamedev #videogames #artshare #throwback

Finally re-verified on steamworks, I had registered years ago but then life happened. I had to start all over again and the process is very crummy. At least they send an email to you these days. #gamedev #solodev

Peter Serafinowicz's scouse accent is great!

Working on a gameplay mechanic that I thought of watching some science youtube about anthropic and cosmological principle. It's not weird though, just a chain of thoughts thing. Look forward to seeing how ti ans out

School computer lab. I probably should have chosen a smaller building, schools have a lot of variety. Oof.

Also considering doubling resolution for landscape. Hard to get details. Not sure.

If AI can't drive a car, do you really want it driving your company? #ai #artificialintelligence

Does anyone have opinions on how to handle animations in game? I was going to do logic in script, as seems sensible, but I also saw you can do it all by pointing the animation tree to your object and it can read the public params and navigate the animation tree based purely on object state.

Which seems, cool, but is it a maintenance nightmare? Is code worse? Is there a way I don't know?

Opinions welcomed!

Make it make sense. PLEASE. WHY IS IT OFFSET.

WHY DOES MIXAMO START WITH A 0.1 SCALE? WHY DOES NOTHING I DO CHANGE THE OFFSET?

It feels like.. saying "add this anim from this FBX to this armature" should be an option.

THEN if the armatures don't match it says "hey, this needs to be fixed"

Is there a reason that isn't possible? #blender?
