A year ago I added AI Labels to Loops, and now they are coming to Pixelfed with C2PA support and Loops is getting C2PA as well ✨

C2PA + AI Labels are coming to Pixelfed!

Labelled in your feed. Verified on upload. Federated across the fediverse (FEP-5837)

And we applied to join C2PA as a contributor member.

Know what you're looking at. 👀

Admins can now purge old remote statuses to clean up storage space with this new command that includes several optional arguments!

On pixelfed.social it has purged 98.7% of 40 million remote posts and counting!

In our next update, you will be able to view text posts from remote profiles with 2 new layout options: Feed and Masonry.

PSA: Run multiple fediverse software on the same server, including Pixelfed?

Our improved SSRF protections may block federation with local addresses, but you can bypass with a new env variable!

Folks, please share the link for our Fediverse Multimedia Grants.

We have funding for creators to make podcasts, artist's portfolios, webcomics, music stores, video streams, or brand new kinds of channels here. And we pay developers to help them be successful.

Our deadline is Wed 4 Nov 2026. It only takes a few minutes to apply.

Doggy Parton graced the Pixelfed HQ earlier today.

They were then transported to the grandparents so we could hand out candy without chaos.

Looking good Jake 🐾

Two years ago we started planning a major redesign of Pixelfed's webUI.

Now, we're polishing it and preparing it for it's long awaited release.

Admins: Make sure you have the latest node/npm version installed, you will need it soon. 😉

Years of work are all (finally) coming together, it feels amazing!

Pixelfed - est. 2018
FediDB - est. 2020
Sup - est. 2023
Loops - est. 2024
Columnly - est. 2025

2027 is going to be another big year for Pixelfed and friends 🚀

So why would I launch https://columnly.social right before Pixelfed's new webUI?

Columnly is built on several of the new Pixelfed webUI components, and I wanted to test them in production and also Nuxt with hybrid rendering to catch any pesky bugs before I deploy this to millions of people.

The new Pixelfed webUI is much better than Columnly and the current experience.

I can't wait ☺️
