In the mood for a creature feature. Kaiju, aliens, toothy bastards from another dimension. Love that stuff.

So my best ever Dad Joke moment was when I was driving in France with spouse, and overtook a Netherlands car on the motorway, then announced to spouse that we had just "Passed the Dutchie On The Left Hand Side". What a result. And she couldn't immediately murder me as I was driving at 130km/h.

I had waited 42 years to make that joke. What a beautiful thing, and now you had to hear about it.

@cstross I'm re-reading the Fuller Memorandum and I wonder how long you had this particular crack in the notes before fitting it in

"Navidrome organizes your music library entirely based on the metadata tags in your audio files".

Nice! I am sure that all my albums have been correctly tagged by the publishers.

"This means that having clean and consistent tags is crucial for your music to display correctly."

Shite! The publishers don't care about tags at all!

My first social network was over AM at 4 watts. Operating this wee machine is now illegal, I believe. Time for it to go - but gonna strip mine it for parts (those controls ❤️) first.

What if "AI" ends humanity because of a fatal dose of cringe from listening to its boosters and looking at its nauseating graphics and having to read its texture-free pablum text generation?

"The AI Cringe Wave caused at least 1.2 billion deaths directly through social media, and the decline of the world population to Mesolithic levels by destroying the will to procreate in 99% of the remaining population"

Happy Giant House Spider Season to those who celebrate.

I would also like to ask all supermarkets to let me know where I can find the RSS feed that tracks where items have moved in the supermarket shelves. This would be very helpful.

I am once again asking all manufacturers of consumables to please send me a personal message when you change the branding of your product in any way, shape, or form.

Small sample, but I see meeja publishing titles like "why young men are turning right" and I have two young men genetic lifeboats* and they are a pair of compassionate lefties. so maybe the lack of direction from parents may be relevant? No
judgement like.

* h/t @Thayer for the term, fucking hilarious thanks 🤩

Anyone remember Shazam used to be useful? No? 2016 was the last time I recall it being helpful.

Fuck! those twats at Bending Spoons have bought Miro. Downloading all me stuff.

I have just impulse-purchased a hongdian m2 mini fountain pen.

We should never have put a #stationery channel on the Irish Tech Community Slack.

h/t to @johnke for the nudge 💸

Offspring[1] was a Gorillaz gig at the weekend. Review: "yeah. yer man was completed fucking bladdered"
