@sknob Just watched your Do Something video and it's great. Very well done imo.

Does anyone remember how you get rid of these icons in the bottom bar of @apps ?
I sure don't, but I don't think I had them in my previous install (switched to F-Droid version).
Can't find the relevant setting either. 🤔

Time for some anti-doomscrolling antidote.
A collection of fun Fedi links I gathered from you people. 😉

In this episode some #Vim, 7Zip, an AI talk, fun sites, music, #photography, and more.

For #SilentSunday, you get ribbons.

Where do you EU folks get your domain names from? Looking for something EU, but a lot of the small hosters charge a lot for a domain name it seems.

I've been using the Randomer Vim theme, which (surprisingly) generates a random theme every time you open Vim, and it's quite fun to get something different every time. I have to admit it's not always practical, certainly for source code editing, but for that I have a shortcut to reset to a default theme.

If you want some randomness in your #Vim you can find the link in this post: https://n3wjack.net/2025/09/03/fun-fedi-links-1/

@mirlo I should have tagged you in the previous message, but here it is. :)
Looks like the player is broken in Firefox?

Is the Mirlo player broken in Firefox? It doesn't play back anything, but other players work (like Bandcamp).
It seems to work in Edge though.

Made a playlist on Bandcamp with some sweet modern jungle albums in it. Yep. That's a thing I did. Maybe you like jungle and should check it out.

Very suspicious... 😂

Had a very jungle/dnb oriented Bandcamp Friday. Picked up some golden oldies I didn't have in my collection, and some new jungle inspired stuff. ♥️

I have a few small FOSS apps up on Github, which I wonder if they are actually used. Every time I need to do some maintenance on those, like framework or package upgrades, I'm wondering if I should bother. Is anyone actually using this?
I'm always tempted to add some usage tracker into it then. A simple HTTP call would do. But then I think naaah, that's kinda creepy no?

So I don't. But I wonder how others handle this. You don't care? Do it some other way?

🎵 If you can pick ONE VST, just one, which one is it?

Which one is the most essential tool you use for your music production.

For me, it's probably Voxengo Span for mixing & mastering, because I use mostly stock plugins for sound generation and effects.

(boost for reach?)
