Billionaires. What kind of sick individual thinks living in this is a better idea than looking after the world and treating people poorer than you with kindness and empathy 😞

Help, can't decide
THEY HAVE A PET ADOPTION CENTER AT THE PETS CONFERENCE
Help me name my little guy!
Dragon Dads (https://dragondads.org/) is a group of dads and other caregivers who are affirming and supportive of LGTBQIA+ kids. One of their big activities is going to #pride events and giving out free dad hugs. Many of them have been doing this for 10 years or more. This was my first time.
Let me tell you, I saw, and felt, absolutely everything.
There was someone who squealed when they saw the booth and did a ten yard sprint to catch me in a flying hug. There were people who walked by several times before they timidly came up and asked for a hug.
There were people who wanted long hugs, side hugs, pats on the back, fist bumps. (We have a menu.) People who don't like hugs, but were nonetheless thrilled that we were doing it.
People told me that their dads had passed away, refused to have anything to do with them, or that they had had to cut their own dads off. One told me "I miss my dad", and when I said I was so sorry, they said "he's in Arizona".
There was an elderly person in a wheelchair who told us how their alcoholic father used to beat them, then told us all the things they had accomplished in life in spite of him, just to show him.
There were people who trembled. People who sobbed. People who melted.
A giant dude in one of those neoprene dog masks (with my permission) grabbed me in a great big hug and lifted me off the ground.
I leaned down to hug people in wheelchairs, and stretched up to hug a woman who I swear was seven feet tall.
Some people stayed to chat, or to cool off in our misting fan in the blistering heat. Others got a hug and left quickly, tears in their eyes and a "thank you" on their lips.
Absolutely everyone who wanted a hug got one.
I've signed up for more events.
Wow! This short tells the AI travesty like it is. Comparing the AI industry to Nestlé. Nestlé gave away free samples of formula until African women's milk dried from lack of use. Then they stuck them with a dependency of an inferior solution for an extortionate price.
Tech bros are doing the same with AI, except instead of milk it's taking away brain power, knowledge and experience and replacing it with a dependency on AI!
If you want to know what Tech Bros and Billionaires hyping the AI scam think of human beings there is no better example than this video.
The whole room of people are passionately booing the hell out of him and he's still determined to steam roller a dystopian future onto us with a technology that is loathed, doesn't work and kills the planet.

Well this announcement by Blender that they are selling out to Big LLM AI Slop daddy didn't go as they expected 😂
via @Blender
They have finally done it! Yahoo has totally nailed any hope of me using it again! I remember when it was good 🥲

Data centres are robbing people of a water supply. Even Nestle only wanted to sell it to us.
OMC! Synth/muso people have to see this – a drum machine with a ferrofluid speaker!! Look at that little guy jump! 😍
It's easy to see who are the parasites in society Jim, and it's not who you say it is!
currently obsessed with Cheeto, the chonky orange cat who lives around the physics building at UC Davis, who not only has a department webpage and a Wikipedia page, but also has a RateMyProfessor page with 331 ratings for his course Loaf 101.

How the hell do you reorder the groups at the top of the Android @Vivaldi speed dial?!
I try and drag and drop them and I just get the rename context menu. Reordering groups shouldn't be this hard!!!
It would be good to have drag and drop in the bookmark menu too!
UK to add age verification to VPN use, which makes it absolutely useless.

Fuck Starmer and his government. They want to be just as authoritarian as Trump and China and they want to give all our data to US tech billionaires. I will never vote for Labour again. This government is a parasite that's taken over the party anyway.
Did I say fuck Starmer the UK harmer yet? Fuck off Keir!
