For the first time in the 20yrs we’ve lived here, we’re clearing out all of the old paint cans. We had the house repainted this year so we need to make room for the new leftover paint cans! 🙄
Don’t ask how many times we needed that old paint (never). Don’t ask if any of the paint was still good (none of it). It has been living rent free in our basement and now I have to pay to dispose of it.
My wife bought these nice quilted covers for the catio chairs. Her goal was to keep the cat hair off of the chairs we use. Rigby had other ideas.

I don't want to hear fuck all from anyone about how the French are lazy or cowards. This is impressive as hell. The kids are fighting for their right to education! Here in the US we believe that we don't need to know stuff anymore. Artificial Intelligence, pardon, SUPER Intelligence will know the stuff for us and what the SI doesn't know is probably woke anyway.
A rather large spider has decided to build its web right across the entry to our porch. I’ve enjoyed watching it dutifully tend to its web while trying hard to remember not to walk thru it. Today an unwanted political visitor from the bad team walked up my driveway. I gleefully watched as she walked right into the poor spider’s web. She absolutely freaked out! The only way it could have been better is if it had been Anne Wagner herself.
This is Rigby. He’s a high strung cat and quite the busybody. Last year we were concerned that he suffered anxiety so the vet put him on a low dose of kitty Prozac. It made no difference but in order to give him his meds (which are rubbed in his ear) I created a morning routine where I cleaned his ears, then meds, then churu treat. Well, Rigby took right to that routine. Even after we stopped giving him the meds he insists on this routine continuing. So I oblige minus the meds. I adore this boy.
I’m watching my neighbor’s cats while they’re away for the weekend. They must have heard me outside as they both came trotting over. Bo is the white fluffy cat who loves to pose for photos. He has the sweetest personality and loves to have his belly rubbed. George is the tabby and he’s also quite the love bug. Everyone in the neighborhood knows and loves George. Bo is more selective with his affection. I like that they stick close to home as they’ve gotten older as I always worry about them.

This was particularly frightening after a local celebrity was killed recently when a tire came loose from a vehicle, bounced and went through his windshield. It’s so important to not allow yourself to get distracted on the highway. If we had been distracted trying to get our nav to provide directions the outcome might have been different.
Suffice it to say that was a scary event. If that rock had bounced differently it could have come through the windshield. Luckily we both saw it which allowed us to brace for the impact and duck if necessary. We were moving at 60mph when this happened.
