The "rotate left/right" shortcuts near the thumbnails in @digikam are the bane of my existence. If you multi-select pictures and accidentally click on it, it will rotate all selected pictures in the direction. Number of times I willingly rotated a photo in years of use: 0. Number of time I accidentally rotated hundreds of pictures and had to do the reverse operation afterwards: dozens.

(I always select all pictures in one folder at least once, in order to group RAWs and JPEGs together…)

Highly recommend Gil Durán's book, "The Nerd Reich". It's only a difficult read in the sense that the content matter is not pleasant.

Knowing about the business and people behind the technology that has been foisted upon many these days, I find it very hard to justify any use of it with arguments of utility.

The 29th #XMPP summit has come to and end.

It was not the same as the physical summits in Brussels, but overall it went great for a first fully online event, and allowed equal participation from people who cannot or do not want to come to Europe once a year.

Thanks a lot to the organizers (and @daniel in particular) and other participants for making it happen.

1. Meraki: Plats asiatiques vegans, pâtisseries vegan, et Banh Mi tofu/tempeh.
Tout est excellent mais le Royal Chocolat vegan ou les Banh Mis… 🤤
Possibilité de passer commande pour des gâteaux entiers.

Fermé le soir et les lundis, brunch le weekend.

4. Le Locafé. Des plats assez chiadés, tout est vegan et tout ce qui peut être local l’est, ce qui contribue au tarif élevé. Ils ont également des tarifs solidaires à jour fixe, ainsi qu'une cagnotte que les gens peuvent utiliser.

I replaced the Pi 4 hosting my kodi for the big screen with a cheap Intel NUC because it was too unstable, but it turns out that all the instability was due to the micro-HDMI cable...

Months of fiddling with the box to make it more reliable and all it needed was a €5 new cable
