Random thought time…
Apples in season are amazing.
If you have not walked through an orchard eating way too many apples on a brisk fall day, you are missing out. I have 3 bags of 20 different varieties of apples sitting on my counter…they bring me joy.

Ran a good race today, 3 minute pr, didn't hit my a goal of 3:10, finished in 3:11:01, with a big fade. Happy to do the work, fight through the suffer. Most proud of overcoming a really difficult mental space. I was fighting a big mental battle to get to the line this race, having friends there was a big reason I didn't just bag it. I would not be able to face my friends if I had quit without trying.
marathons are hard. Believe in yourself.
Don't make your hobby unfun. #Running

I made chard paneer, it's not authentic, but it's way better than the boil in Bag crap.

Some After/Before shots. Tell me what you think

Paint day today. Got a majority of the remaining painting done. Trim on all four sides. Some touch ups, windows, coupla, and some soffit left to do. Feeling accomplished. Need to finish up the little bits now ...
Photos tomorrow, finished too late and it was dark

Making progress moving wood. Have not done this at scale since before highschool. We had wood as primary heat growing up. The house had baseboard, but it was too expensive to use beyond freeze protection. Now at nearly 50 I've chosen to add wood to my Life. I ponder why I did not choose pellets or dual fuel.

Kid now has their license. Drove a small errand on Saturday, drove to school today.
So happy to see them grow and take on new challenges.

Kid 1 driver's road test, take 2. Fingers crossed.

I wrote a thing.
I don't do it as much as I would like.

Doesn't sound like the Friday night fun I am looking for, and I'm not sure I can get up early enough to do it before work, or have enough time to do it between the kids need to be at school and work.

Boo hoo. Marathon training life.

Volunteering for a non profit is sloppy work.

How many more ice creams should I eat today?

People make playlists which arent actually playlists, and are just a list of songs to shuffle, who raised you?

Gel consumption - time or distance? State your reasoning?

I need to start getting my stomach ready for fueling during runs. For fueling during the race I'm targeting around 35-40 minute intervals, 5.5 miles. While my long runs aren't at race pace, I need to fuel, do I:
