I wrote a postmortem of the University of Washington harassment investigation. I don’t get into details but I do explain my perspective and name the men involved, plus some lessons learned at the end. https://irenezhang.net/blog/2025/03/04/uw-harassment.html

Spending my Saturday morning at the aerospace machinists union hall, along with a bunch of other 33rd district committee officers, voting to fill a vacancy in the Washington state Senate.

I don't have the heart to tell the candidate who knows me by name and takes every opportunity to say hello that they will be number 2 on my ranked choice ballot

Overheard middle management on a call with upper management today, because open office🙃.
Upper management doesn't understand why middle management says they need to keep all us engineers around. They've invested so much in ✨AI tools✨, and they're expecting it to pay off in headcount reduction. Request to hire more engineers, denied.

So there it is.

This place is an icebox, and part of a system of iceboxes

Highly esteemed plums are commemorated here

The plums are not present in your breakfast time, but they were in mine

What was here was delicious, so cold and so sweet
